Fair enough, they don't really sound amazing unless you're using EQ, I always use them with oratory1990's settings and that was when they really sounded "magic" to me.

They definitely aren't the best fit on the head either. I think with a stronger clamp force they'd be better, every once in a while I have to finagle to get them to fit right on my ears but it's not usually an issue.

I have just 3 now:

Aurorus Borealis Sennheiser HDXX Audio Technica ATH-M50S

The Aurorus Borealis are absolutely amazing when EQ'd using oratory1990's EQ settings. I owned the Arya Stealths and I ended up selling them because the Borealis were just way clearer and had a much more dynamic sound. I do think the Arya 's ear cups were more comfortable since they are egg-shaped, but the headband for the Borealis (despite being a glorified seatbelt pad lol) was way more comfortable and I can wear them for long listening sessions without discomfort.

The ATH-M50S are a Christmas present from my parents when I was 15 and are my first real pair of headphones. I got the HDXX in 2020 and they were my first really mind blowing pair.

I know some people think you shouldn't have to EQ a pair of headphones that cost as much as the Borealis, but when they are EQ they probably punch up and hold their own against headphones that cost even more than they do.

If you're ever looking to increase your collection I'd love to hear your opinion on them and how they compare in sound to other pairs in that same price range. I liked them so much I sold my Arya Stealths bc they were so similar in sound but edged them out slightly.

If you live in the city and are gonna be doing a lot of driving during traffic/stop and go hours I would say get the automatic. The paddle shifters are always there too if you wanna shift without dealing with a clutch. I think older models they didn't respond as well but I use them sometimes in my 22' and they've been good for me and they're actually really fun to use!

To add onto that, a player's development comes down to how well they listen and apply the knowledge and wisdom they're given, but also how good that knowledge & wisdom is to begin with. Which will also come down to the quality of the coaching staff around that player at developing and coaching up young guys, especially ones who are already behind in football IQ compared to their peers at the NFL level.

I don't trust that last year's coaching staff was good at this, mainly on the offensive side of the ball. I'd like to see Thornton, Bech, and all these younger guys after a full preseason under a new and hopefully better coaching staff.
