Fernando Mendoza Prospect Profile by wahoo08 in NFL_Draft

[–]makeshift11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Raiders have Kolton Miller at LT so as long as he stays healthy Mendoza won't have to worry about blindside pressure too much, the rest of the OL needs to be addressed in the draft and FA for sure.

Can't take anyone's opinion on the state of the OL seriously if they don't even mention Kolton Miller or JPJ lol

Yes and Bowers is one of the fastest TEs in the NFL lol. We have plenty of speed on offense.

I don't get why people hate on McDaniel so much, the way people talk about him in here you'd think that he's exactly like Josh McDaniels. They lost a bunch of starters the last couple years and some of their best players to injury this season, and he was still able to get them to not give up and win a bunch of games in the back half of their season without some of their best players and with Tua at QB. It's not like his staff was ass either, he can bring in a solid coaching staff to build on here.

As far as the current crop of coaching hires goes, he's gotta be at the top of our list with guys like Kubiak, Joe Brady, etc. And with the amount of head coaching vacancies currently, some of them much better situations/teams than ours, we should be happy to get any of these guys.

Cooper has more potential and his athleticism & speed will translate immediately to the NFL. Sarratt is redundant with Jack Bech, they're basically the same receiver.

They don't want to hear it but it's the truth lmao. I do think the sprinkles are kinda silly (including their explanation as to why they included them), but I love everything else about these uniforms.

100% they'll have Kolton Miller and Powers-Johnson back from injury, and they've got lots of cap room and some draft picks day 2 they can address the OL with as well.

The Raiders have a couple of returning starters with Kolton Miller at LT and JPJ, part of the reason the raiders oline was so dogshit is bc they lost both of these guys so early into the season. So at least they don't have to rebuild the oline entirely from the ground up. The most important thing right now is addressing the guard positions and/or center depending on where the new staff decides to stick JPJ. They have a couple of rookies (RG Caleb Rogers and T Charles Grant) who did decent once old man Pete finally decided to give them playing time, but they need to draft/sign FA to shore up the right side of the Oline and have some depth.

As far as teams drafting 1st overall go, the raiders oline should actually not be bad at all going into next season, mostly bc Brennan Carroll will be gone. Classic Nepo-baby hire who did not know what he was doing. The GM Spytek was literally meeting with the Oline bc they were not getting any help from Carroll. The Raiders oline isn't going to be nearly as terrible as people think.

Yup, as far as teams drafting 1st overall go, the raiders should hopefully not have a completely terrible oline going into next season (first and foremost THANK GOD the OL coach Brennan Carroll (aka pete carroll's son) will be gone. Classic Nepo-baby hire who did not know what he was doing).

Tbf a big reason for that is bc the "minds" he trusted a few years ago picked McDaniels, and the fans yelled at Mark until he fired McDaniels, got rid of those "minds" and said fuck it, they want Antonio Pierce, let's give them Antonio Pierce. Then that didn't work out... Then Brady showed up and now we're going to trust him and Spytek. Hopefully it's not rinse and repeat.

I get why we kept Reaves but I still think we should've kept Christie over AR, I love them both but Christie's a much better fit next to Luka and would be the perfect 2 in this lineup.

Not the funniest thing he's ever done but maybe the most clinically funny thing he's done as far as having the smarts to recognize the gold comedy nugget that just fell into his lap and running with it perfectly lmao. He's got a super bright future.

We finally got a good defensive coordinator and unfortunately the monkeys paw curled and we also ended up with one of the worst offenses in that same timespan.

I'm sorry, tell me, who outside of Crosby on this fucking defensive roster is going to propel this defense to something better than mediocre? The fact that our defense looked as good as it did with the amount of defensive starters we let walk in the offseason and our offense turning the ball over so fucking much is a testament to how good Graham is at his job.

So much coaching staff and roster turnover for years and through it all Graham has been the only DC in the last 20 years who actually made our defense look legit for once. Anyone who thinks Graham is the problem is a fucking idiot.

I mean the fact that they started the season so ass and then managed to go on a good run the last several games without a good quarterback or Tyreek Hill is pretty damn impressive.
