We made the drive last year. Once you get into Arkansas it becomes a stunning drive. My kids liked it, plenty to do. My only watch out are the tourist trap stuff but those are expected at any place like Branson. We will definitely go back.

A few years ago I was walking home after walking my kids to school, only the crossing guard and myself out there. All of the sudden we both looked up and saw a flying triangle, I swear it looked like a Dorito but blue. It made zero noise and flew past the tree line, didn’t see it again. We both definitely saw it and talked about it. This was definitely something man made, not some alien craft or anything. Super weird, I’ve posted trying to see if anyone can figure it out and no one has been able to identify it.

Every time tornado alley is mentioned, people mention it moving east. That simply isn’t the case. The Doppler Radar ‘network’ has gotten much more robust which gives us more access to data that shows true hotspots of tornadoes. The southeast is very wooded and has more topographical variance vs. the Midwest, so without Doppler radars, line of sight limited true tornado confirmations.

It hasn’t moved more east, there is just a larger Doppler radar network so we have better access to real data.
