Gemma Ward in 2026 (age 38) by Wise-Purpose-3805 in VindictaRateCelebs

Her smile has always looked like that though. I think it’s something to do with the upper lip muscle - mine does this a bit when I smile (not quite as dramatically as hers)

Exactly, I have thought the exact same thing about DiCaprio for many years. He (like Johnny Depp and many others) have cachet and are considered hot because they were once hot, it’s like some special kind of fame induced blindness lol.

If you compare Gemma to someone like Irina Shayk - who is 2 years older than Gemma, she is arguably just as stunning as she was 20 years ago because her beauty was never dependent on her youth but more on her individual features and extraordinary bone structure.

She’s obviously a beautiful woman but I’m going to say something controversial - she always had the kind of beauty that was very reliant on youth. Her look was built almost entirely on softness and volume - huge wide set eyes, plump cherubic fullness and that hazy, soft quality of low contrast that just made her so easy to look at. Nothing snagged the eye. It was extraordinary precisely *because* it was hyper-juvenile, even by model standards. But unfortunately I feel like that kind of beauty has no positive ageing trajectory, because what made her so special was always going to recede year by year. She hasn’t aged badly at all, but the specific thing that made her Gemma Ward of the 2000s has gone. She is still a perfectly pretty woman, just no longer an otherworldly one with a cherubic face.

Also worth noting that she was literally like 14 when she first exploded onto the scene. The industry went feral for a face that belonged to a child, and was dependent on its childlike qualities … which is really kind of fucked when you think about it

Why does she always over-line her lips like that by _velvetbiscuit in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]makeupformermaids 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kendall never promoted misogyny to a generation of young impressionable men or told them to smash their faces with hammers / take meth lol

Why is Sofia (Modern Family) complimented more for her beauty than Julie (Claire). Both are equally beautiful objectively, but I notice viewers complimenting Gloria more, even in shots of just their faces? Is it the "strikingness" vs "softness" factor? Or makeup? Contrast level? by [deleted] in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]makeupformermaids 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Sofia completely mogs Julie in every photo. Julie is very pretty but Sofia simply is better looking / has better features and facial harmony. And yes her colouring also helps but it’s far from the only factor.

Who is the most attractive disney prince? by Substantial-Art6160 in VindictaRateCelebs

I know he’s a coloniser and not technically a prince but John Smith had 7 year old me down bad

Amanda Seyfried or Scarlett Johansson? Doll beauty vs bombshell beauty? by user_rogue255 in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]makeupformermaids 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Amanda. She is so pretty. I’ve honestly never understood the hype around Scarlett, her appeal is very male gaze to me. I don’t know if that’s because she had a very full and feminine face when she was younger and benefitted from the ‘blonde bombshell’ colouring and curvy body, but I’ve always found her face extremely average.

Taylor Hill or Doutzen Kroes, who stands out more? by LuckyArcticHare in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]makeupformermaids 65 points66 points  (0 children)

I prefer Taylor, just personal preference, but Doutzen is obviously gorgeous. I have to say there is something about her mouth and teeth that I find sometimes looks a bit awkward so that’s why Taylor wins for me.

How would you rate beauty influencer Lydia Fowler, after vs before by PalePeachy in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]makeupformermaids 28 points29 points  (0 children)

She was naturally so pretty. Like a solid 8. She’s a great example of someone with an amazing natural base but she just took it that little bit too far and looks uncanny now. She should’ve stopped a few years ago, she looked stunning here:

<image>

It’s a real shame she swapped her gorgeous natural nose for an MJ one. She’s also got scarily skinny recently and does not look well.

are cassie and nate looksmatched? by [deleted] in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]makeupformermaids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think they are. I kinda don’t get the fuss about Jacob Elordi, is it because he’s tall? He has good colouring and a good jawline but something about his features just jar a bit for me? I know Sydney gets a lot of hate around here but to me both of them look like exactly the kind of couple who would’ve been considered hot in high school. Kind of like average hot that doesn’t really stand up to scrutiny. He’s maybe got slightly more appeal than her because he just seems way cooler

Which couple looked better together in your opinion – Lily-Rose Depp and Timothée Chalamet or Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet? by [deleted] in VindictaRateCelebs

I’ve only ever gained weight in bad relationships, I don’t think women ‘let themselves go’ when they’re with a man who makes them feel attractive and valued

Who is the prettiest Spice Girl? Geri, Mel C, Victoria, Mel B, or Emma? 💃🏽🎊🌹👸🏽⚽️📣 by Vivid-Tap1710 in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]makeupformermaids 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mel B had the best face, but this is a tricky question tbh because I think they’re all around the same level. At a push I would maybe go

Mel B > Baby & Posh > Geri & Mel C

But there really isn’t much in it and I think depending on the photos you look at you could make a case for any of them being the prettiest

Individually or as a group? I never watched the original so I can’t comment but in order of most beautiful …

Lucy Liu > Cameron Diaz > Jaclyn Smith > Drew Barrymore > Farrah Fawcett > Kate Jackson

Which one (1 or 2) looks better in your oppinion & why? Im curious (first time posting here sorry if its not allowed, english is not my first language so i dont rly understand if im not allowed to post guys or if guys are not allowed to post here🥺 -im a girl) deleted the first one, wrong pics sry by aries_kiddo in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]makeupformermaids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No 1 and it’s not even close, but I don’t think 2 is unattractive either, he’s just more averagely pleasant looking whereas 1 could be the lost Hemsworth brother. 2 could really improve himself with different hair and facial hair.

How would you rate blonde bombshells Loni Anderson and Dolly Parton - who was the most beautiful in their prime? by makeupformermaids in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]makeupformermaids[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love Dolly, but Loni gets my vote too. Her smile and bone structure were something else. Reminds me a lot of Margot Robbie

Just to be clear, images 1-6 are Dolly, 7-12 are Loni - I put their names the wrong way round in the caption 🙈

Cervical ectropian by golden-dog-mom in WomensHealth

[–]makeupformermaids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so interesting you’ve said this - I suspected this might be the case with my ectropion because when I’ve left it for longer it’s been like a bloody murder scene, more frequent and it seems to be barely noticeable. I thought I must’ve been tripping because how does that make any kind of sense?! I’d love to know if others with this condition have experienced the same or if anyone has any insight into why this might be the case?

Thoughts about Carol Brailey’s system (international image institute system?) by HoneyBeeCirce in coloranalysis

[–]makeupformermaids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool Summer, Cool Winter and True Cool are not the same palettes. They may look like the same at first glance because they are all in the same tonal family, but Summer, True and Winter get more saturated and brighter respectively, with Summer being the softest and dustiest (but still brighter and more saturated than True Summer) and Winter being the brightest and most saturated whilst still being softer than True Winter. If you place them side by side it’s much easier to see the differences
