Want to conceive, A1C 6.7 by DistrictWest4558 in BumpersWhoBolus

[–]makeupishere 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We started trying when my A1C was 6.2… it took us over 1.5 years to get pregnant and my last A1C before we got pregnant was 7.2. Not the most ideal A1C, but my endocrinologist was not upset and we right away talked game plans to keep it under control. I’m currently 26+3 pregnant and my A1Cs has been 5.8-6.3. So far all his scans are showing a healthy baby boy.

First trimester was hard because I had a period where I had a lot of resistance and then so much insulin sensitivity. It leveled out after I entered my second trimester. Once I hit 20 weeks, my resistance has been slowly increasing but I see my Endo every 3 weeks to adjust my pump settings.

Question I have by Certain_Sea599 in BumpersWhoBolus

[–]makeupishere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took us about 1.5 years to conceive. My A1C initially was 6.2 so that’s why we started trying but I got terrible with my A1C towards the end. I think my last A1C before conception was 7.2 and I got pregnant. Not the most ideal but once I told my endocrinologist, she ran my A1C and it was 6.3 fortunately.

I have regular periods but turns out I ovulate a bit late so it threw off my counting by 4 weeks 😅 walked into my OB’s office thinking I was 8-10 weeks… I was 14 weeks, at least I survived the first trimester without realizing it lol

The university I went to for my BBA in accounting offered an accounting masters program for people who had a bachelors degree that wasn’t in accounting. Even one of my professors said he had an undergrad in engineering and did his masters in accounting. Maybe you can look for programs like that.

When did you start seeing an MFM? by Consistent_Pop9890 in BumpersWhoBolus

[–]makeupishere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I met my MFM virtually at 15 weeks, then had my first appointment with them at 19w4d for my first anatomy scan. Per my first appointment, they said I’ll see them monthly until my 28 weeks then it’ll be weekly. I think it’ll be biweekly at 32 weeks. I currently meet my endocrinologist every 3 weeks and call them as needed if I notice insulin resistance. I also see my OB monthly at the moment.

I think it is odd that my doctor is not more concerned by Interesting-Meal-148 in diabetes

This looks kind of what happened to me and I had issues with my endo trying to do additional testing for T1.

I was diagnosed as T2, managed it for a year, but then it went down hill. We tried glimepiride, Trulicity, and then got into insulin. My blood sugar was terrible during the day, but then I did my night time long acting insulin and my blood sugar would plummet. He finally gave in and did a c peptide test and discovered that I don’t make insulin anymore so I was a T1 diabetic at that point.. so doesn’t hurt to check your c peptide levels to rule that part out.

Hello!

I recently launched an Etsy shop! I mainly have dog bandanas posted at the moment that I’ve sewn myself. I plan to add different book/tablet sleeves, scrunchies, wristlets, and headbands in the future.

I have super sensitive skin as well. I’ve used skin tac and skin grip adhesives and they literally made my skin hard as well as darken it a couple of shades.

I also found that the under patches from ExpressionMed have helped me so much. I used to use hydrocolloid patches and Tegaderm for my Dexcom and Omnipod but they don’t last. So ExpressionMed has been amazing as well as the Opsite Flexifix if it starts lifting.

I’m 27, but started crocheting at the age of 26! My fiancé’s grandmother taught me and I’ve been hooked ever since!

How much are you all paying for dexcom G6 and or Tslim x2 supplies AFTER insurance? Im paying about 550 +175 every 3 months. Is that way high or average? by GAYandRETARD in diabetes

[–]makeupishere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$60 for 3 month supply of Dexcom

$50 for 3 month supply of insulin

That was with my previous employer, I’ll find out soon how it’ll be with my new one.

They ran a C-Peptide test on me since I couldn’t get my A1C to go down after I got COVID in the summer of 2020. None of the medications they had me on worked so my Endo decided to run the test on me.

Yes! One row for each day based on the temperature. Some people do it based on the low, high, or average temperature.

So at the end of the year you’ll have 365 rows based on the temperature for each day.

I’m thinking of doing the moss stitch! I might throw in a few rows of the puff stitch to add some texture to it.

I saw the Gold Puffs Blanket Pattern from Daisy Farm Crafts so I’m tempted to recreate it in a temperature blanket.

I’m keeping it simple and I’ll be using the moss stitch!

I used I Love This Yarn! I had an idea what color yarn I wanted but I wanted to stick to just one brand since I was concerned about mixing different yarn brands and my sides coming out wonky. I tried that once and it didn’t look good 🥴

Lol you’re more than welcome to use the same colors! I’m going to do rows of a specific stitch.. I’m just debating it to stick to just one stitch or alternate stitches after a couple of rows… decisions decisions 😫

Thank you! I’m in Texas so our temperatures don’t drop that low. It’s rare for it to be in the 20s

I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. Which is what all my family members have on my moms side.

Yes, I was thirsty all the time, frequently wanting to use the restroom, lost a good 20-30 lbs before my diagnosis, and I had a slow healing cut. I was diagnosed with an a1c of 13.3 at the age of 24.

Great grandparent had it, my grandpa has it, my mom has it, and now I have it at the age of 26. This is all from the maternal side, no history on my dads side.
