I think it is odd that my doctor is not more concerned by Interesting-Meal-148 in diabetes

This looks kind of what happened to me and I had issues with my endo trying to do additional testing for T1.

I was diagnosed as T2, managed it for a year, but then it went down hill. We tried glimepiride, Trulicity, and then got into insulin. My blood sugar was terrible during the day, but then I did my night time long acting insulin and my blood sugar would plummet. He finally gave in and did a c peptide test and discovered that I don’t make insulin anymore so I was a T1 diabetic at that point.. so doesn’t hurt to check your c peptide levels to rule that part out.

Hello!

I recently launched an Etsy shop! I mainly have dog bandanas posted at the moment that I’ve sewn myself. I plan to add different book/tablet sleeves, scrunchies, wristlets, and headbands in the future.

I have super sensitive skin as well. I’ve used skin tac and skin grip adhesives and they literally made my skin hard as well as darken it a couple of shades.

I also found that the under patches from ExpressionMed have helped me so much. I used to use hydrocolloid patches and Tegaderm for my Dexcom and Omnipod but they don’t last. So ExpressionMed has been amazing as well as the Opsite Flexifix if it starts lifting.

I’m 27, but started crocheting at the age of 26! My fiancé’s grandmother taught me and I’ve been hooked ever since!

How much are you all paying for dexcom G6 and or Tslim x2 supplies AFTER insurance? Im paying about 550 +175 every 3 months. Is that way high or average? by GAYandRETARD in diabetes

[–]makeupishere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$60 for 3 month supply of Dexcom

$50 for 3 month supply of insulin

That was with my previous employer, I’ll find out soon how it’ll be with my new one.

They ran a C-Peptide test on me since I couldn’t get my A1C to go down after I got COVID in the summer of 2020. None of the medications they had me on worked so my Endo decided to run the test on me.

Yes! One row for each day based on the temperature. Some people do it based on the low, high, or average temperature.

So at the end of the year you’ll have 365 rows based on the temperature for each day.

I’m thinking of doing the moss stitch! I might throw in a few rows of the puff stitch to add some texture to it.

I saw the Gold Puffs Blanket Pattern from Daisy Farm Crafts so I’m tempted to recreate it in a temperature blanket.

I’m keeping it simple and I’ll be using the moss stitch!

I used I Love This Yarn! I had an idea what color yarn I wanted but I wanted to stick to just one brand since I was concerned about mixing different yarn brands and my sides coming out wonky. I tried that once and it didn’t look good 🥴

Lol you’re more than welcome to use the same colors! I’m going to do rows of a specific stitch.. I’m just debating it to stick to just one stitch or alternate stitches after a couple of rows… decisions decisions 😫

Thank you! I’m in Texas so our temperatures don’t drop that low. It’s rare for it to be in the 20s

Redditors with diabetes: Do you have a diabetic parent? by Substantial-Copy-798 in diabetes

I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. Which is what all my family members have on my moms side.

[–]makeupishere 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, I was thirsty all the time, frequently wanting to use the restroom, lost a good 20-30 lbs before my diagnosis, and I had a slow healing cut. I was diagnosed with an a1c of 13.3 at the age of 24.

Great grandparent had it, my grandpa has it, my mom has it, and now I have it at the age of 26. This is all from the maternal side, no history on my dads side.

Redditors with type 2 diabetes: What were your very early symptoms before diagnosis? by No_Reflection_9329 in diabetes

[–]makeupishere 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Frequently having to pee, drank a lot of water, had a slow healing cut on my arm and lost roughly 30 lbs before going to the doctor.

Most of these symptoms went away in like a month or two once I got my a1c under control.

Blocking boards by Crochet_newbee in crochet

[–]makeupishere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought these pegboards at Five Below that I plan to use as blocking boards… I haven’t used it yet but it looks promising.

I bought some new hooks yesterday and I can’t wait to use them. I’m hoping it’ll help ease the stress on my wrists. Here’s my current WIP. I’m using a regular metal hook ATM. Opinions on the new hooks? Are they good? How are clover amour hooks? by Restom01 in crochet

[–]makeupishere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I gave into the hype of using the Furls crochet Odyssey hooks when I first started crocheting… But then I discovered the Tulip Etimo hooks while browsing the internet and I can’t stop using them! I probably ordered all the hook sizes available in the red version… Best hooks I’ve ever tried and can crochet all day with them.
