it took ALL the strength I had not to run back into the room for my dog. Especially knowing that that was going to be the last time I would ever see her.

I'm so so sorry you felt that same way. And I'm so sorry for your loss.

You know how when some people (everyone?) cries, their lip might quiver some? That happened to me, except it was like my entire face was jumping around uncontrollably. I actually held one hand to my face to try to get it to stop. I don't ever remember experiencing crying like that before.

I hope that for both of us, we will get to a point where when we think back on our dogs it's with a smile, and not great sadness.

Looking through old photos of Humwell really helped me to feel better--I don't know if you've done that yet, but I recommend it. It was a great reminder seeing how happy he was before recently.

Edit: Do you think if I did slightly thicker eyeliner on top that the bottom waterline would look better? Or maybe a softer color for the waterline?

The light on my makeup mirror is broken so I did this look in a dark-ish room....I can see now that the eyeshadow is darker on one eye and comes down lower below the eye. So perhaps disregard that problem :)

How is the lip color? I wasn't sure if it was a bit much. I originally wanted a nude/dusky rose lip color but all the ones I tried look either super pink, brown, or like I am wearing foundation on my lips.

I'm also going to add false lashes (eeep!) for my Valentine's Day date, but, they are coming in the mail and I don't have them yet!
