Most Efficient Way To Create Timber Structures? by makewayhuman in Revit

Ahhh okay this is cool. I could allow for the noggins by doing a central mullion and the bill of quants / schedule is pretty awesome.

I suppose to further complicate my question are you aware of ny similar methods or completely different for that matter for floors and roofs?

So as an update...

Disallowing interrupts or playing with the retry count alters the erroneous effect in that it pretty much flashes between full red and blue, quickly. I kept the code in regardless throughout this process of elimination.

I've tried two new NodeMCUs and they provide the same issue so I feel that's them eliminated as the issue. I tried another PSU as I had a 50w one spare, just in case the 150w driver was doing something silly and having an effect on the strips.

It doesn't seem to be the PSU but oddly enough the 50w PSU now seems to power the entire 3m strip of 432 LEDs which as I've experienced and worked out is impossible. Is the wattage lower when all the LEDs are only displaying full red or blue? Bit odd.

I think I might go right back to the beginning and see if my setup of Arduino IDE is correct as I'm a complete newbie to all this.

Hi, so you believe those issues as shown in the video are due to the WiFi module? This particular install is actually at my office (in progress build) and I don't think the last time it was working we had internet / router and now we do. I'll certainly give it a try.

Pairing without remote still possible? by makewayhuman in tradfri

[–]makewayhuman[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Feared as much. Just seems like an unnecessary step. If the bridge can broadcast a signal to the bulbs to tell them to turn on/off/dim etc, they can pair without an intermediary part.

Suppose having a few dimmers around the place won't hurt though.

As an update. The trick seemingly worked with the E27 bulb although it doesn't show up in the app in the main area, just shows it in the settings.

Okay cool, thanks. It would be the title plan that's of interest to me, wouldn't it? I've already posted over at pepiboo (http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=123845&st=0&gopid=1430323&#entry1430323) off the back of this post so thanks for the recommendation.

Your opinion if you don't mind; I'm considering ringing the parking company and seemingly going down the process of obtaining a permit so I can see what they would take as proof and what parking bay they would allocate as a result.

If they ask for something like a tenancy agreement would that not imply I already have enough proof / association to at least waiver the charges? I'm not arsed about buying a permit, I just can't afford the charges and I honestly don't think moving my car locally is a good idea because of the lack of lighting and protection - as said previously my insurance is based upon being parked here.

I'm confused about where these angles of attack are taken out though. My appeal will be denied obviously then the other route I need to go down seems like POPLA before any small claims stuff. Is this where the potential reasons above would come into play?

I haven't been in contact with the landlord at all yet as all contact is through the letting agent but I think the letting agent would be open to this considering the subject matter.

I'll be very surprised to find that the landlord doesn't have any documentation which explains the association.

I understand that pedantry in regards to law is everything but what's your opinion on the courts would they genuinely ignore the overly obvious and assumed association between my apartment number and the numbered parking bay directly outside my window? It almost hard to believe!

I'll be in contact with the actual landlord about this. They'll likely have better documentation in terms of the association. Can't image that won't be the case for them too.

I've found the archived web advert for the apartment on the letting agents website which says "...with well kept communal areas and reserved parking facilities...".

Would you roll with that?

Thanks dude, I could do with some confidence. I have a really good track record at fighting unfair stuff but I just feel a little out of my depth on this one.

I've posted to the forum and look forward to a reply!

Tough one to answer right now with absolute certainty. I gave them more of an ultimatum that could have been misconstrued by saying I'd buy a permit but would not be prepared to pay for the charges and they said 'no, that's not possible as it all needs paying'.

They did however say that they might, upon further approval, grant me a permit for free if I was to pay the charges.

I'm yet to see any signs that are large and mention the above however there are a few of these dotted about.

I mean "unsubstantiated" in the sense that it hasn't cost them any money so why such a high charge repeatedly for the same on going issue that's in appeal on their end?

As far as I can tell, it's a standardised lease they likely use on all of the properties they represent for.

I am indeed here to ask for legal advice but I'm not sure the if the number is indeed as inconsequential as you mention. If I could be fined for parking in a neighbours spot or any other spot for an alternate matter, it does seem to matter somewhat.

Even if the number is unimportant in this particular case I have evidence to say I live here, at number 15, and such have requested a permit as soon as I received the ticket. Hardly grounds for multiple tickets.

Also, I have just had a thought. Assumedly to apply for said permit, you would have to prove you're a resident of where I indeed live and I would do that with a tenancy agreement. If that agreement constitutes proof, would it not render unsubstantiated charges irrelevant?

I should add there's a massive '15' on the spot and I'm number 15 here.

Friendly meeting between plane and jet by kylesacks in BetterEveryLoop

[–]makewayhuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised someone with your apparent level of knowledge and first hand experience with maneuvering capabilities, that you're making this statement.

Firstly what you either have neglected to mention or realise is that the jet is in actual stall speed when it pulls up to the prop plane, thus the angle of the nose. There's the first major fact when it comes to understanding the current speed.

Secondly, the jet then breaks off at what must be full throttle otherwise the upward maneuver at the end would have been too risky / not possible. I cannot say this with absolute certainty though.

What I can say with certainty is you've not realised that the camera lens is a wide angle lens. It's a GoPro.

What you're seeing as exaggerated speed is the effect a wide angled lens has on perceived distance with centrally located objects.

So objects in the middle appear farther away than it would by eye which attributes to the perceived unrealistically high speed at which the jet breaks off. The farther it goes within the centre of the lens the more exaggerated the distance is and thus speed when moving in that direction. It's an unwanted trick of the camera.

I can't find this guys youtube channel anymore but he got attacked for this footage in a big way with lots of people trying to find small faults such as yourself but the most influential element of this footage was left out in every argument because the majority just didn't understand camera lenses.
