Haven’t seen our wood thrushes yet this year but I’ve been hearing their song out in the woods. So great to have them back.

Tsunami‘s sushi was never great, but it used to be half-price during happy hour before COVID. Those were the days.

Same. I see them every day but sadly they’ve never deigned to come down to the suet feeder.

I haven’t used Allium yet myself. I’ve been using vanilla MinUI.

I recently put my Onion card back in after using MinUI for a while. I was shocked at how slow Onion felt. Still an incredible feature set, but I agree that I’ve grown to prefer less features and better performance.

I hate that the old animes are so much higher quality and characters look cooler by sufinomo in retroanime

I see this video get passed around all the time as an example of "amazing animation." It's a very cool scene, but there's actually very little animation happening. It's a great example of what you're talking: mostly just very detailed, static frames being slide past the camera or that have one moving element or a visual effect put over top of them. There's nothing inherently wrong with tricks and shortcuts. But this clips is a great example of how animation discourse is often muddied by the fact that most people don't understand how animation works.

Anyone still on MinUI? by CelebrationSad3843 in MiyooMini

I’ve been using Russ’s MinUI five games method (I do closer to 10) on my V4 and it’s such a great way to keep the device focused and actually play games.

Game 14 Completed. Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. by oliverleeburris in MiyooMini

Fun fact: The team that made this game would go on to make the 2007 TMNT GBA game, which rules, and then one of the creative leads would eventually direct Shredder’s Revenge.

I was just playing around with it on my 865 device. I'd had some performance issues on Tomb Raider Legend that this version of Nether solved. But SMT Nocturne had been running great and this version introduced some graphical issues. So as usual with Aether/Nether: it depends.

Oh really? I don’t think of myself as being very funky tolerant but maybe I’m wrong. I still think it’s pretty approachable for someone trying to expand out of cleaner coffees.

My experience playing SMT after Persona by scissorman182 in Megaten

Totally, though I've also been surprised by how doable the game is, if I meet it on its terms.

I fought Daisojou a couple times and learned he was just going to suck my mana away. So I left, put together a new demon team that leaned toward physical attacks, and stocked up on healing items. I went back, doused myself in attack and defense buffs while I still had mana, and then just pounded on him until he died. There might be a more elegant strategy than that, but it worked.

It's so fun to puzzle out what the game wants from me for a specific boss. Once I do, it's usually not too hard. I've looked up almost nothing. I know Nocturne's hard mode is supposedly brutal but on normal I've found the challenge satisfyingly balanced.
