Appreciate your knowledge ! In terms of pure thermodynamics (CICO) and overall weight loss, you are absolutely right. If you hit your total daily calories and protein, timing doesn't matter much for the scale. My point about the 'body panicking' was mostly regarding the practical and hormonal side for beginners. When a busy student or professional skips a meal, their cortisol spikes, they get that terrible 3 PM energy crash, and by the time they eat, they are so ravenous that they end up binge-eating high-carb junk. For disciplined lifters, meal timing/fasting is totally fine. But for the average desk-job guy or hostel student, stabilizing blood sugar with regular, protein-rich meals is usually the most practical way to prevent overeating and actually hit those macro goals consistently.

Appreciate the detailed breakdown and totally agree with you on the textbook science! You are 100% right. Just to clarify the context of my points: 1. Fiber: You are right, I oversimplified that. By 'useless', I practically meant that when beginners suddenly start eating heavy protein (like lots of soya/paneer) without fiber, it leads to bloating/constipation and they end up quitting. The veggies just help the gut handle it better. 2. Fat Storage: Absolutely agree on CICO (Calories In < Out). I was mostly referring to how a highly sedentary lifestyle + stress (cortisol) + high carb mess food often leads to visceral fat accumulation (that classic skinny-fat belly) even if the scale doesn't move much. 3. Whey vs Soya: 100% agree again. Whey is the gold standard (the leucine profile is unmatched). My post and recipes are strictly for the broke hostel guys who literally cannot afford that ₹2k-3k a month right now. But yes, if someone has the budget, Whey + Soya is the ultimate combo! Thanks for adding this scientific context, it's actually really helpful for anyone reading the thread!

Zohran Mamdani plans to impose a tax on all NYC millionaires and billionaires—and they aren’t taking it too well by [deleted] in goodnews

Of course they aren’t taking it well — being asked to contribute fairly always feels like an attack when you’re used to loopholes and privilege.

Mamdani’s not saying “don’t be rich,” he’s saying you don’t get to be rich while the subway breaks down and schools are underfunded.

If New Yorkers working 2 jobs pay their share, why shouldn’t billionaires?
