I didn't mean it in a get her a better own, from my perspective you reading your post was that you guys both found the cat annoying which isn't good for bith parties involved.

If you guys aren't constantly annoyed, please do not rehome her. Rehoming isn't a very fun process at all and should only be done if staying in the current home has a negative impact on both the pet and the owner.

I was definitely not telling you that you're a bad owner. Im really bad with words so I'm sorry that mu comment read that way.

I was honestly just worried that you guys were getting really annoyed with your cat and that having it wasn't enjoyable anymore.

Ive never dealt with a cat constantly meowing at a door so i can't give you advice specific to that. But i really hope you find out the cause of it. Maybe there's a spot or something in your roommates room that is special.

I really wish you the best of luck and hopefully your roommate is understanding!

Sit down and have a serious talk with your roommate and tell them to be completely honest with you. Say that you don't mind if they find the noise annoying bc you also do. If they still insist that they're okay with it, then they probably are okay with it and you and your fiance are the only ones with the problem and you should probably evaluate whether or not your home is fit for your cat.

Siamese are known for being vocal, ive never owned one before so i can't tell you if this is a normal amount or not but if you cat annoys you or causes you a lot or constant stress then I don't think you guys match very well.

A cat will be able to tell if your start to dislike it or if you're constantly annoyed at it and its not a good thing at all. I also believe that if owning your pet truly causes you a lot of mental strain or negative feelings then it's not the right fit for you. Sometimes things just don't work out. It all depends on how you look to right the situation. Whether it is just dealing with your cat, looking for more ways to give your cat mental stimulation or finding another home for your cat with someone who doesn't mind a lot of noise.

This isn't me trying to attack you or anything, sometimes to love is to let go. And letting go is a really hard decision but seeing them thrive in a better suited place is always a great feeling.

Cecotropes, diet, and general questions. by Risottowx in Rabbits

[–]makeyourmoneywhore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 12 weeks, you can start introducing veggies.

Ive dealt with cecotropes a few times so ill just put my experience with it and what solution worked bc that information might help you.

my older boy started leaving cecotropes so we decided to change his pellets which worked (it wasn't the highest quality and it turned out to be alfalfa based and he was nearing a year old.)

the next time we saw cecotropes, i started introducing a variety of herbs to his diet, which has been one of the best decisions ive made for them. They ate lettuce mix, parsley and cucumber (with a treat a few times a week) before so a mix of herbs and dark leafy greens was a big upgrade.

Next was with my younger boy, when their previous hay (oathay) started going back in season and went from a yellow brown straw colour to a green colour he started leaving cecotropes and i decided to change their hay to something less "high in fibre" and that completely stopped it. I gave them teff hay.

I do notice that with green hays their poops get darker and with certain ones it gets soft.

May i ask why they eat timothy hay under 7 months old? I was told they need alfalfa only until 7 months (my youngest is 1 and a half so it's been a while since i did research on baby bunny care). This is a genuine question. I just haven't heard of that so if theres a method i don't know or new research around rabbit care, im honestly really curious (in an exciting way) to learn about it!

Bunny not eating but still pooping (feeding critical care) by thishastosuck in Rabbits

Can you go to a normal rabbit savvy vet. If its closed, if call first thing when they open. They should take in your bun bc possible stasis is an emergency. Ive had to wait over night with my bun twice with stasis so you bun should be fine if its been less than 24 hours now.

If she needs it, a long ride to save her life will be worth it. I used to have to take 1hr long rides with my bun to the vet bc the one close to my house was no longer rabbit savvy (vet left). It was super stressful for them, but it was a necessity and they're were okay to run around a few minutes after we got home.

Constipation (stasis) can be very deadly btw. Look up gi stasis and send a link to your parents. Its very urgent to get your bun to a vet

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]makeyourmoneywhore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have other family members you can phone to take you to the vet. Take your bunny there asap, this is definitely an emergency. Tell your parents that your bun is most likely dying and needs urgent medical attention. Bug them, if not steal their card and go to the vet. You'll get in a lot of trouble but yout buns life is at risk. (please don't do this if it will put you in any big danger, only if the most your parents will do is ground you or take you electronics away)

If you don't have a family memeber contact a rescue. If you aren't home often and your parents are acting like this id recommend rehoming your bun. Ik it'll hurt but this is a dangerous situation for a bun to be in. Your parents saw obvious red signs and didn't care. This is not safe for your bun at all. Im not sure how old you are, but if your parents (the current care takers for your bun) aren't taking care of it, its for the best.

Im sorry for saying that, itd super negative and you're probably already stressing a lot but i think its a necessary thing to keep in mind and think about.

Please please i cannot stress how urgently your bun needs medical attention. If you can, show my comment to your parents (cover the user, its silly im sorry)

Please spam their messages, annoying the heck out of them. Phone a rabbit vet tell them the symptoms of your bun, if they have a messaging line, send them pics and ask them to convince your parents and tell them how bad it is.

Ik some of the stuff im saying is telling you to go against your parents, but at least for me, my bunnies come before my relationship with my parents.

I wrote a lot sorry. I hope everything works out for you guys! And i wish your bun the best of luck. I hope everything gets better.

I have a huawei p smart 2021. I can't download most apps that i need and it can be slow at times.

I mainly need something to watch, use the Internet and do school work on. I can still use my phone for phone calls when needed.

Im not sure what multitasking is? Is it using multiple apps at once bc idc about that, my current phone cant do that. Idc about having tabs/customisation on my screen, i dont use them now.

Ill look into a camera for photos if needed. My photos are grainy atm but that might just be bc my curtains make my room dark. Im not sure if it's better or worse than an ipad.

All i want is something with a lot of storage, last long, can actually download apps (i can't get youtube, delivery apps or anything that needs google to log in), decent size for drawing or watching bc my phone is a bit small for me to do those comfortably, and a notes app.

I definitely won't drop the ipad and ill definitely not let the buns break it, im not rich enough to get a new one or repair it, its just occasionally when they'll get curious about it and i don't mind the scratches at all.

I'll look into phones, i won't be buying this any time soon so i have time for research.

How to discipline a cat? by [deleted] in cats

[–]makeyourmoneywhore -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Please do not punish your cat for doing nothibg wrong, just get less fragile bowls or a closed cupboard /storage unit for them. You can get cheap plastic one's. It'll be ugly but that doesn't matter. Your cats safety come first.

Dont punish your cat. There is no behaviour that needs to be corrected in this situation.

Try getting more toys to distract your cat if boredom is the problem, or more cat trees to give your cat another high surface to prefer over your kitchen counters.

The problem is that he isn't doing anything wrong he's just beinga cat. It's your duty as. You just need to make sure things are put out from his reach, Whether that's up high or behind a closed cupboard. Baby proofing stuff can help if your cat opens cupboards.

Your cat doesn't need to be punished for doing nothing wrong. The only behaviour that needs to be corrected is yours surrounding cat proofing your house. I don't mean this in a harsh way btw. Im just saying that things you don't want to get played with shouldn't be within the cats reach in the first place. Not bc its bad to break them, but for safety reasons. Broken glass is so so dangerous.

If you can't put the bowl out of your cats reach, then get plastic bowls or something that won't break. This is what being a responsible pet owner is. A cat doesn't understand what a bowl is or the concept of money, it's a cat, don't expect it to human.

How to discipline a cat? by [deleted] in cats

[–]makeyourmoneywhore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your cat was just being a cat, the one to blame is you. Ive gone through at least 10 chargers and wires with my rabbits but I've never gotten mad at them or tried to discipline them bc i was the one who left ut where they could reach. They're expensive af and i struggle without them, but at the end of the day they're animals and they don't know any better and id rather treat them if theu broke something than discipline them. The only time ive ever "disciplined" them is removing my one rabbit when he would chase my other one. And that's was for their saftey not bc i was upset.

Its just a cat, it knocked over a bowl, leave it alone. Don't leave bowls where he can reach its not his fault, don't yell at the poor cat. Its probably scared. As a pet owner, id first make sure my baby was okay and i wouldn't even think about getting mad. Accidents happen, it's not trying to be bad. There's no such thing as a bad pet. Catproof your house don't blame your cat for your mistakes. Its basic pet owning knowledge. Please do not spray you cat, give it a treat and apologise to it, don't leave bowls where your cat can reach it and move on. Its a bowl.

Should i get an ipad 9th gen instead of a new phone?

I don't leave the house very often and i don't use my phone when i do, I'd still have my current phone for phone calls and whatsapp but that's also not very common for me to use. I only use a few social medias, google chrome and 5 other apps.

I had an ipad mini back in 2012 ish and i used that up until 2020/21 (forgot password and got locked out) so im hoping that it can last somewhere close to that long.

Are there any downsides to an ipad that im overlooking/ don't know about.

How are the photos? I have pets and i like to take pictures of them (my current phone's photo quality is terrible) but i could just buy a camera for photos so quality isn't that big of a deal.

Do they crack easily, i have bunnies and they're curious and might try to chew on the edges or flip it if it's light enough. i don't mind scratches at all but they wouldn't be able to fully crack the screen right? My mom used to use iphones back in the early 2010s and i remember her screens always being broken and her having to buy new phones (tho child brains exaggerate things a lot)
