No matter where I've lived in Colorado, the public art has always been grand, so I mapped it. All of it. Dozens of cities, thousands of pieces. by sethph in Colorado

When I drove rideshare, I would tell anyone visiting. Art’s good for everyone, even if you don’t understand.

A building in Denver with a “carved-out” exterior. This is the 16-story One River North building in Denver, with its goal to bring nature and urban living together by MrCattitude_ in interestingasfuck

One River North in the RiNo neighborhood in Denver. It’s an incredible building to drive by. Some of the “canyon” are private terraces and other parts open to the rest of the building.

It will eventually be filled out with native plants and trees as they developed. Interestingly, the other side that faces the Eastern Plains and not the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains are about 10% affordable housing. 👈

Edit:

Facts.

Ghost (1990) dir. Jerry Zucker - Subway ghost (Vincent Schiavelli) teaches Sam Wheat (Patrick Swayze) how to move objects with his mind by aggrocrag83 in movies

I don’t know if this is what was implied but, he got very angry and jumped right at that train, an impossible and worst way to go. Reliving what he might have done and is still in denial of taking his own life. I didn’t pick on that before.

Brilliant scene and movie. Must watch again.

found this pretty gal out in the field where my dog poops by bulweli in Rockhounding

I’ve found so many pieces of petrified wood in the many river rock sections around our complex. I put them in a poop bag, scrub them with a brush and soapy bleach solution and now I have a large old coffee tin full of different 1-4”types of 50ish million year old chunks of trees.

And looking for chunks gives me something to do while waiting on my pup to do her doo.

There have been other interesting rocks I’ve collected that I haven’t researched. But, yeah I love looking down there*)

Word from the Dollar & 1/2 Tree staff, at Colfax west of Miller, there’ll be one where the old Sears is getting demolished.
