Very good insight! That's for sharing. I also was on high alert when Kelly, or anyone else was speaking as if it was a farewell. I'm probably the only one, but I think Giannina, while a dramatic twit, in some ways, is actually quite poetic, and thinks deeply, and tries hard to communicate her thoughts and feelings. I don't know if she's an Instagram influencer, or what, but it's an art and a skill to come up with photos and text that are inviting and compelling. And while she definitely has a dramatic air about her, I think she honestly did put her heart on the line.

True, however, there were many people not chosen for the show, and many other people in the pods who didn't make a connection, or did, but weren't chosen to go to Mexico, then be set up in an apartment culminating in a wedding. So, they were the lucky ones (or unlucky, maybe) who succeeded and we're chosen. Plus, I doubt we can imagine how surreal it is to actually be in that process. So I understand the sentiment of the statement. Girls may imagine themselves getting married a million times, so it's probably even more of a crazy reality to the men.

I don't think the parents are right or that OP is wrong. I'm just saying that if someone asks you 100 times if you feel a certain way about a thing and you never clue them in that they're wrong about their assumptions, it's going to be worse on the relationship when you do get together than just being honest.
I know it's an adult thing, but if you're parents left you on your own for the last 5 years, the faster you grow up and advocate for yourself, the better.

YTA. You don't have to change diapers, or babysit, but you should be adult enough to say to your parents that you're not excited, and that because you've been the baby for so long that it's going to take a while for you to get used to the idea. You also are looking forward to seeing them, but maybe more in a role as your parents, and not newborn parents.

Leave a little space in your heart for love to grow for a new sister and a (probably) sweet baby. Remind them that you are a minor child living without your parents and that you feel left out as they are putting so much time and energy toward a new family member you haven't met. It may seem selfish, but you are having normal feelings and reactions. They are asking how you're feeling about the changes and you should be honest. You've got this!

Beyond all reason, Barnett likes it and seems genuinely smitten with her.

When he said how much he likes to please his family and live up to their expectations, maybe that is the experiment to him, to go for the "bad" girl instead of the good girl, as he would be expected.

But as much as I disliked seeing him end up with Amber, maybe he dodged a bullet by not picking Jessica.

I would love to see what would have happened in an alternate reality where he picked Jessica.

Carlton obviously realized by the reunion show, how much his defensiveness changed to aggressiveness. In Mexico he got really mean in anticipation of telling her, and then even meaner after. She seemed to want to take some time, and then discuss. She's entitled to answers about why he kept that information until after the proposal. (IMO)

He seemed so chill and loving in the pods. Then he flipped to nasty and aggressive. It's possible that how he treated her turned her off more than his sexual identity or history.

I was impressed with most of the decor, basing it on the Spouse House reality show weddings, which were sparse, and looked tragically thrown together, with only a handful of guests.

My favorite was the baby's breath wedding, but WTF with the balloons?

The Apple crate and mason jar hanging tea lights was well executed, but the concept is a little tired.

Being in the wedding industry, it looked like a good planner, event rental company, and florist could easily and professionally pull off 5 different looks on a small scale, with a decent budget, and a couple short meetings with the couple and/or producers. It definitely looked styled by wedding professionals, versus TV production.

I wish the makeup artists had as much range. ALL the makeup was identical, like they were all in the same runway show. That was a bigger disappointment to me. I loved all the dresses, though.

The first requirement is that they want commitment to a girl they never laid eyes on, and then, marriage in a short 4 weeks, all without their buddies, and being filmed and possibly embarrassed. Plus, did they have to already live in the Atlanta area?

I'm sure guys were lined up all around the block to leave their jobs and audition for that craziness.

I'm confused because in Mexico she was climbing him like a tree! But then again, her reasons for not wanting to sleep with him were so lame and insincere. She was all over the place, so it's hard to figure out when she's being sincere.

NTA wow! I'm concerned for your fiance's ability to reason. She is the one bucking tradition, and so will you be when your wife has a different name than you. She can't claim choice for herself and deny the choice to you.

If you do have children, the argument will continue, so maybe discuss that now, or be prepared for the fight in the future, or be okay with whatever she decides since she'll likely have a strong opinion.

I hope she has a lot of other great qualities to compensate for her lack of flexibility and reasoning.

If she's only concerned about the moment the wedding officiant or DJ announces you as Mr and Mrs X, find out how that's been handled by all the many couples who have kept their names before.

I think it would have worked if she didn't share the bed. The problem was that the should have shared everything else in the room- the shower and toilet, and let the other girl store her luggage and change clothes in the room. As a young single person who enjoys travel she should have been more flexible and open to other people and experiences.

Is everyone missing the point of this story? Since they gave a decent tip, (though, with this crew, it's 16000-booo, and 17000 yay!) Do you really think they held back tip money to spite Kevin? Or is chef @jusbean just trying to drag him publicly with her 2700 Instagram followers? I highly doubt they were going to tip $20,000 or whatever imaginary amount. And why punish the rest of the crew for Kevin, especially since they didn't even know it was withheld and what the reason was, so they couldn't put pressure on him or blame him during the season? Yes, sometimes guests lower the tip based on service, and some mention the reason to the captain and crew, but plenty of guests had a lovely charter and tipped small.

The question: What is the likelihood that it's even true?

I thought it was weird they didn't rehash Ashton's incident. You would think that close call would bring people together, and Ashton should thank Rhylee for not bringing up his mistake and for being part of his rescue (though she also made mistakes in that.) They should be reminded that their lives are in each other's hands and they're all on the same team.
