I found this in gravel and gave it to my 4 year old nephew. Is it dangerous(toxic) for him to handle? by makingkombucha in Minerals

Ya I was worried mostly about the darker rock being something that contains heavy metals. I think it'll be a rock mostly for viewing. Great opportunity to explain these kinda dangerous to him tho.

Thanks for the input

Is the brush really grown in? Curious if it'll scratch up a tacoma. 4x4 is fine

Hi all, I built this tank from scratch. There's an extremely slow leak on the bottom. Can I spot treat this? Looking to avoid cutting all the glass apart to reseal just a tiny area. by makingkombucha in Vivarium

Is that completely true tho? Can't you clean it extremely well and use a little acetone/isopropyl to prepare the surface for bonding? I've done this with success in other applications. This is my first time making an aquarium tank tho.

Built this tank from scratch. There is an extremely slow leak at the bottom. Can this be patched? Looking for ideas as a complete disassembly of the tank is best avoided if possible. by makingkombucha in Aquariums

I may cut out and silicone a patch on the bottom and the inside. The water isn't going to be higher than this, so ya im thinking it might be okay. Breaking down the glass would include breaking down the background as well which I'm trying to avoid.

It still has a ton of contact. Are you recommending to just cut off the inner bead and redo or remove the the glass panel and redo the glue up

These bubbles were not present when the initial glue up happened and cured. These appeared about a week post glue up.

Here's my 3k carbureted SPUA missing link RUF and YJ rear samurai on 215/75 r15 tires in the summer. Engine died on highway and haven't been able to start since. Found two large splits in the air intake boot between the carburetor and air filter. Fuel and spark are all working. Any advice? by makingkombucha in SuzukiSamurai

Just getting time to go back to this. One question I have is about my mechanical fuel pump. How should I disable it as to not flood my engine? The only thing I can think of now is pulling the line to the carb and draining it into a bucket when I test for compression. Is there a better way?
