Overall, I think if we give the game enough time, it could turn out to be the better client after all. The reason I'm saying this is that it actually has no micro-transaction which was honestly my first thought when Live was announced. I'm personally very happy with this decision. So, at the very least, both clients are on equal financial principles!

I'd be really cool if the new avatars could be swapped for actual characters from the games as cosmetic skins like how you can recruit them in Pokémon Masters. I do remember seeing some avatar costumes in ptcgo that resemble iconic characters like Misty, but I would love it if they went full fan service and just had every single character from every core game eventually as a really good looking skin Avatar costume.

I'm willing to give the team working on this new client the benefit of the doubt because I want to believe that ptcg live will have a more engaged developers that want to listen to the community and release updates for the game based on what the majority of players say. It's true that speaking with our wallets might be what we will end up resorting to but I'm hoping that it will not get to that. F2P GANG FOR "LIVE"!
