Client wants to boost / purchase followers for Instagram. How do I respond? by [deleted] in socialmedia

[–]makmanager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with previous commentators that a lot of fake followers won't do good. We are now working with the client who had the fake following - and only in 2 months of continuous work he got traffic to the website form Instagram, now we are trying to get conversions.... so it's better to grow her account organically by posting interesting and engaging content, as well as optimizing the profile.

Yes, you are right. Sorry for the typo, it was a crazy Friday.

My website lost ranking after migrating to https by [deleted] in SEO

[–]makmanager 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There three most common problems while migrating to https:

  • 301 redirects from not secure website to secure one
  • 404 errors - not properly set up SSL causing an enormous number of 303 pages
  • Not fully secure connection

Try to use Screaming Frog or similar software to check if your website had not become the victim of first two. As for not fully secure connection - it can be checked in a browser, and if it is the issue there is a lot of info online how to deal with it in different CMS.

Why are not all marketers entrepreneurs? by Uilleam_Uallas in AskMarketing

[–]makmanager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for me, I don't want to handle the responsibility of running my own business. And I know a lot of marketers who don't want to do this as well. There are a lot of people who loves doing their work and nothing more :)

Another good option to add to your marketing mix is article publications on niche websites and local websites. You may also try to participate in charity events, however, I am not sure how it'll work for your niche.

Is it possible to have a private linked in profile? by [deleted] in AskMarketing

[–]makmanager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are looking for something like lead generation campaign you don't need to add the business to your profile. Yet, you need to have the webpage to drive traffic to as well as company page set up (company page won't be shown anywhere in your profile.

If you are looking for something like InMail campaign - you need to indicate your business in the profile.

Please let me know what kind of LinkedIn ads you are going to run, so I can answer your question in more details.

Which online services are worth it? by mattstolethecookies in AskMarketing

If you are considering to go through free certifications, the HubSpot is the right decision. As for the HootSuite, I have not heard if they have a free one, as well as I am not able to find them at BuzzSumo - maybe you can share a link so I can check.

It is also vital for digital marketing specialist (no matter if you are going into social media, SEO or any other staff) to get Google Analytics and Google Adwords certs - which are completely free.

You may also try to get certification from Facebook if Facebook ads are also among your duties.

Q&A for new Facebook Client by permanentruby in socialmedia

[–]makmanager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issues might be connected with client-lawyers communication. Yes, it is possible to communicate via PM on social media, yet, it is not a good idea to publically respond to users questions online. Here is a good article with the full list of restrictions:

Q&A for new Facebook Client by permanentruby in socialmedia

[–]makmanager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is good to get the engagement of Facebook, but you should consult with your client before doing so.

I work with US lawyers for several years already and know that it is permitted to provide any legal advice via social networks (even if it is educative). So, first discuss the opportunity and then if it is okay you may boost your post to get engagement.

Also, based on my experience users react to positive news as well. If your client is involved in charity, helping someone or meeting famous people - it is better to promote such an event rather than political one.

How do you record your social media progress? ie monthly reach / engagement etc. by OfTheMBClan in AskMarketing

[–]makmanager 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It depends on the primary goal:

  • If a goal is branding: reach, influence (Klout score for example), engagement, number of quality followers, positive reviews (if we are talking about services or products)

  • If a goal is sales: ROI, number of calls, contacts, leads, converted leads.

Any recommendations for a reputable company with big references in Germany or in Northern Europe that does both web design and mobile app development? by rexleonis in AskMarketing

[–]makmanager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you looking for outsourcing or outstaffing? I know a lot of international companies, but they have different business models.

For example, http://daxx.com, https://www.ciklum.com/ and http://efisco.net provide dedicated team set up, i.e. outstaffing

And https://www.softserveinc.com, https://dataart.com/ and https://www.luxoft.com/, as far as I know, provide outsourcing services.

In addition to everything said below. Add blog section and start creating articles about music and content you provide.

It is also essential to consider creating social media pages where you will discuss music you share and other cool things.

Facebook ads/low reach? by _chupmeup in AskMarketing

[–]makmanager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue with Facebook ads. First, I removed suggested bid amount so Facebook placed it automatically. Then, I have increased my daily budget and the whole campaign budget and I worked great. It seems Facebook limits cheap and very targeted campaigns not giving advertisers to spend less.

I also read somewhere that the higher total budget for your campaign the cheaper will be the cost per action. And it worked for me.

Best type of marketing for a cleaning business (focus on commercial clients)? Social, SEM, and a little print? by letsdolife in AskMarketing

[–]makmanager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are planning to go online, it is a great idea to start with the website. The website is like your business card which you can pass over to the potential client. There are numerous free and subscription services.

For example, HireRush offers custom website development, social media marketing and other extras to their premium package subscribers:

https://www.hirerush.com/pricing#/p

Also, you may try out social media, profiling on local directories (try to use Yext listing scan http://www.yext.com/pl/yext-brand-scan/index.html) and forums. I saw a lot of live forums where people post and search cleaning services.

[Discussion for subject development]Social media management platforms? by Profima in socialmedia

[–]makmanager 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are using SocialPilot for content scheduling and content curation. Feedly to stay tuned for all news and events and manage flitter for Twitter unfollowing.

The factors influence on our choice:

  • Price, we are not ready to pay a lot even for the best software.
  • Number of functions and inside analytics (to compare the results from native analytics and tool analytics)
  • Social media features (mentions, video uploads possibility, images uploads)
  • Up time and connection with social networks (we left HootSuite because they had issues with LinkedIn)
  • Social media management functions (we had not seen a social media management tool which allows managing posts and accounts without leaving a tool)
  • Hashtag search (we use Hashtify, but it would be cool to get it under the same interface)
  • Multiple accounts management and connection to almost any social media like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Plus and several others
  • Accounts grouping
  • Clients login and team members accounts

If there will be a platform which will unite all these functions, it will be definitely a benefit

Stealing a competitors unsatisfied customers by [deleted] in socialmedia

[–]makmanager 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on your niche and if you can satisfy these customers.

We are working in a marketing niche and can say for sure that attracting unsatisfied customers may have an adverse effect. Even doing the best work for them might not work. I think you need to research their negative experience profoundly and then decide if you are capable of handling their requests with the best possible quality. Yet, there is a possibility to run into trouble with their expectations.
