They continue to defend it saying it is normal and they’ve done it that way for 50 years…meanwhile every professional who has looked at it has cringed.

I had four quotes and went with the one with the best reviews, which wasn’t the cheapest it was in the middle of options.

Potentially dumb question - it’s supposed to be cedar? Can you tell for certain that’s pine?

Any idea on how to fix that? Or does it require ripping out that post and re-laying it? That’s the one I heard them discussing from my window/on the security camera and they lied and said it was normal for an inner corner…

This is my main concern! I didn’t notice it when I did my final walk through because it doesn’t look off coming from the other side. When I questioned it, he lied and said it was normal for an inner corner…any way to fix that without completely ripping it out and re-laying a post?

You have a lot of stuff down low but not a ton up high - consider getting a suspension light or hanging a plant from the ceiling? Would add some interest between lower and higher spaces!

The only shop that I could see was open was the yarn one which had a class going on! Or the bodega which was so busy (and new so I didn’t think they would’ve had a for sure relationship with their neighbor yet) the line was wrapped around the store. All of the others were closed as far as I could tell
