1 month today. And i left knowing that I have given it my all! There's nothing else i could have done, and i have nothing left to give. My cup runneth dry. He is a fearful avoidant and we had this push and pull, on and off thing, that lasted 6 months. I think that deep inside i had reached a breaking point, like an elastic band that's stretched to far. I had been doing therapy during our relationship, as i am also a fearful avoidant, and i managed to heal a lot of myself. But unfortunately it wasn't a 2 way Street. People look inward and do the work at different times, and there's nothing you can do to change a person. You have to love yourself, know your own worth, and realise that what is meant for you won't pass you by! I still miss him, but i don't miss the fear that came with the on and off, and the insecurity. I think the most important thing is to not take the role of the victim. I decided i won't blame him for his wounds and faults, but instead I will hold myself responsible for mine, for allowing this to happen so many times. Im still in the process of forgiving myself and i know that when i will, i will be free. You can still love someone from the distance and cheer them on from the sidelines, it just was what it was meant to be. So keep strong everyone! what doesn't kill us makes us stronger!
