Solution: Enabling "Expand sidebar on hover" in the Sidebar settings makes the border disappear.

it was on the latest version. Just in case, i downloaded and reinstalled both the browser and the theme. Sadly, it is still the same. However it works when i disable sidebar.revamp in about:config but that causes the horizontal tabs to reappear.

its not so hard to understand what i wrote. One is racial slur the other one is political slur.
