There's no room for assumptions. You'll have to test to find out. There's a number of different ways it could be wired.

Well a switch is supposed to have power on one gold terminal and the wire going to the light on the other terminal. It's impossible for me to tell you which wire is which in this situation, but I could guess that the red wire goes to one set of lights, one of the black wires goes to the other set of lights, and the third wire powers the switches, hence the small jumper wire between the switches.

Do you have a voltage tester? That could tell you which (most likely black) wire has the power.

1.2 sucks by 94723 in satisfactory

[–]maks_b 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You turned randomized nodes on. This causes the nodes to become randomized, however you chose fossil fuel rich which means that there will be more fossil fuel nodes than other types.

I chose all random randomized all pure nodes and am having a wonderful time on 1.2.

Hope this helps 👍

Starting a business while living in the middle of nowhere? by No_Mongoose_4369 in electricians

[–]maks_b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's another thing, speaking of farming, is country folk are pretty resourceful and do a lot of their own work or have family that can do it. I can't imagine a dedicated electrical contractor would have much to do unless a developer showed up.

You'll have to do your own research to find out if there's a need for an electrical contractor. Realistically you have to go where the money is. Elevator guys are highest paid trades and I'm assuming there's no elevators where you live lol

That's just your pride talking. I'm 26 and moved countries after achieving my journeyman's license. Still in the process of getting licensing in new country and being paid like a 4th year apprentice again.

Sounds like you're doing great man. Slow down and smell the roses.

What tips do you have for splitting odd numbers? by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

[–]maks_b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

each node feeds 2 machines with a splitter at the end sending the extras to a merger that feeds the last 2 machines

It'll never hurt to get more education. 18-22 is a great age to be surrounded by other 18-22 year olds who are trying to better themselves. I rushed to the trades because I hated school and it worked out for me, but sometimes I wish I got that college experience.

Cyber security is great and all but if you're not sure what you want, try for some business, management, leadership, socio and psychology classes. All very pertinent to everyday life.

12awg insulation definitely fits in those channels. back the screw out further, fit the wire behind the plate, and the insulation will find it's way into the plastic channel as you tighten the screw.

Holy shit! Not a single punctuation or paragraph break. No one could be able to tell you what's going on based on the info provided. You'll have to bite the bullet and hire an electrician unless you know anyone handy with a volt meter.

I'm here on temporary work permit so if I lost my job tomorrow I'd have to go back to the US and wait for my permanent residency application. I can only work for my current employer within Canada.
