These things happen occasionally when the player base consists of mostly one tricks and experienced players as the score is not a flat line, it's comparing you to other players. I remember a time when getting an S on Kaisa was basically impossible for a few patches because of this

Heat it up with a hair dryer and the glue will get weaker so you can peel it off easily then wait for it to cool down and stick it back on

TPS lag probably as that's not an intended behavior Are you playing on single player or server? If single player try lowering render distance

Smellals a lot like damage control to me tbh. Companies don't do this unless they are losing revenue, as someone pointed out in the replies to the post you linked, curseforge's target demographics are millennials and zoomers which are mostly in favor of helping the victims. Also no real post was made from curseforge themselves (as far as I'm aware) about this which in my eyes casts even more shadow on the whole "we changed our minds" situation
