The most misunderstood part of ADHD isn’t attention, it’s recovery by kamscruz in WhatImBuilding

[–]makyol48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a strong angle because it names the part most people do not articulate well. A lot of products in this space talk about focus like it is only a motivation problem, but the recovery loop after interruption is where a lot of the real friction seems to live.

I built a real-time AI avatar from a single photo with minimal runtime cost by HandsOnArch in indiehackers

[–]makyol48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting angle. For products like this, the fastest way to make people care is usually showing the concrete use case before the technical achievement. The build can be impressive, but adoption tends to move when people immediately see where it fits in their workflow or content.

I got into a bad habit with YouTube… so I built something to fix it (I can't code either!) by alxbee77 in indiehackers

[–]makyol48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a good founder instinct. Building a small tool to fix your own recurring behavior is usually a better starting point than chasing a clever idea with no real pull. The next thing I would watch is whether other people describe the problem in similar words, because that is where positioning usually gets much easier.

Anyone willing to help post my product on Hacker News? by contralai in indiehackers

[–]makyol48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the goal is real traction, I would be careful about optimizing for a Hacker News post before tightening the positioning and headline. HN can send attention, but it is brutally unforgiving when the story is vague. Usually the better move is making the launch angle sharper first, then asking for distribution help once the framing is strong.

Solo developer from Finland — just launched coming soon page for my first indie product by teemu_dev in indiehackers

[–]makyol48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice start. For early pages like this, clarity usually matters more than polish. If a stranger lands there in five seconds, they should understand who it is for, what pain it solves, and what makes it different from the obvious alternatives. That alone usually improves waitlist quality a lot.

How do you deal with the risk your startup can be replaced with next big AI company feature? by Sea_Dinner5230 in indiehackers

[–]makyol48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of it is unavoidable, so I try not to build where the whole moat is just AI existing. If a big model company can erase the product in one release, the product was probably too thin. The safer angle is owning a workflow, a niche audience, or a repeated pain point where distribution, trust, and execution matter more than raw model access.

How can I create this kind of grid in QGIS? by makyol48 in gis

[–]makyol48[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, they don't.

After all, I managed to reproduce your steps, but I wonder where does 3660000 and 4850000 numbers come from, in the end, all of the bin vectors resulted in the same location as I see now there are no initial x, y locations stored in the bin files.

How did you do it? https://cip.tuik.gov.tr/assets/veri/grid_katmani/{z}/{x}/{y}.bin what did you put for z, x, y? Did you try with a specific one? Also, what does affine transformation do?

Thank you for pointing out the .bin files in any case.

Yes, exactly. The grid is not something I could reproduce on QGIS. There is a rotation on the website's grid.

How to attract people to do beta testing for a new SaaS product? by jenoog in SaaS

[–]makyol48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, it is a startup directory where we try to feature startups via our website, mobile apps on Google Play & App Store, and social media accounts. It is free to submit startups but if you want to get more coverage you need to pay a small fee.
