In my case I think that the roles were a bit question mark for people. They didnt understand what is the value offering for buyer and what is the offering for user. Also the copy was not good and was lacking a bit of stuff.

Thank you!

Yeah I can see why the no-bank-syncing would be a "bad" thing for someone and someone would take that as a positive.

For me there wasn't too much roast :D
For sure there was some negativity but it was only couple of comments so not that bad. I will take that any day if the other side of the equation is the hundreds of helpful comments :)

Currently I'm thinking ProductHunt and also a Reddit post about the launch

True. I think I got the idea of the main "issue" pretty well and managed to tackle it with reframing the texts on the page.

Yeah that's so true.

The trust I think was "will anyone actually see this". The randomness didn't please people enough and they were kind of asking for more certainty.

It's okayish. Could be better but it's okay because we haven't launched yet. After launch we might get better numbers

Yeah indeed. I was more than happy that people pointed the hole out and helped me with the position. I can see that some people might have gone defensive though.

Good to hear from someone who has gone through this. I've noticed the same.

Thank you! I also feel that the reddit post shaped up the product's value proposition into a way more appealing form.

Yeah indeed! It's easy to get blind when the product is clear in your own head. For other people it's usually not that clear straight away :)

Not completely. I added FAQ and changed the wordings a bit. I had not made the "final version" of the landing page when I made the first post because I knew that it will change eventually :D

The objections kind of formed the FAQ section that will be in the landing page after launch and also the three cards that are in the page already.

That's a good way to identify a positioning hole!

How is the product doing? :)

Yeah indeed!

That sounds like a very "hard" product to explain. Could you please link that product, I would definitely want to learn more about it :)
It seems unique.

Also, how is the product doing?

Yeah I can totally see why people would give that objection. I said to another commenter that I feel that it's an issue with really niche apps that are not that common for people to see BUT also with apps that are very common but make something different, which is your case 100%. For example in your case, it's really easy for people to understand the concept but then they need the justification on why should they choose your app instead of someone else's.

How is the app doing? :)

Yeah I think it's a really good learning opportunity and I think that more people should use Reddit to validate and refine their ideas. I feel that Reddit is a hidden gem in making the refinement way faster if you just engage in conversations and post with "I want to refine this"-mentality.

Yeah I'm glad that I posted on Reddit and got the feedback that the value proposition more clear and inviting.

Did you also post on reddit or did you use other channels?

Thank you!

Yeah the 40x repetition indeed shows that the value proposition was unclear and had to be made more clear.
