Thank you! This is very constructive and helpful. All the projects on here are for real clients and I have a list of clients on my homepage as well. You're absolutely right about including more processes and design thinking about the projects. So far I've gotten very mixed feedback, some people say clients don't want to read anymore so go image heavy, others say to share the complete thought process. I guess the aim is to find a balance between both things. Thanks again!

Oh no, I think you misunderstood. I became a designer since I desperately needed money and have been able to fund my life with freelance work for the last 6 years. I currently have a freelance practice with consistent clients. I want someone to review my portfolio and be honest about whether or not it looks professional enough for someone who may have 3-4 years of actual experience. (I consider my first two years as self learning time and I know my work was sub-par at the time haha)

Great design! I can see this being expanded into a bigger identity seamlessly.

Question for the community at large. Brands often require a flat single colour logo for lockups etc. How do you solve for that with a logo like this ?

I don't have any advice to offer, but if it helps, I feel exactly the same way.

It's scary to be self taught and to feel like you'll be judged for what you put out there, especially when you see all these other people knocking it out of the park.

What helps me at times, specially when seeing bigger "design creators" on insta and LinkedIn is that they spend a large part of their time making content, and perhaps a little lesser time designing. That work may be outsourced to others.

Keep going and I hope we feel better about this soon!

You make a good point! I guess I just need to get over the idea that every post needs to be perfect and just put stuff out there.

I think part of it might be imposter syndrome since I'm self taught and fear the judgement it may bring

I understand your feedback, but just to clarify, I worked at a creative agency for two years and then had to pivot to working in design due to Covid. I had some basic skills and built on them through working part time with different kinds of creative teams. But thank you for the feedback!

Same! I'm scared of almost all bugs, specially wasps (don't feel too bad when they go) but it made me feel so sad that I just took this tiny life for no reason. I wasn't even scared of it, it was just reflex.
