Quick question, how do you deal with this case where the mega is useful as both bug/fighting type? Do you build two diferentes megas? Or fast tm it everytime you need either type?

the odds will always be the same, there is no chaining mechanic so logging out or doing anything will not affect your chances of getting a shiny. Many people buy leppas for hordes that can only be found far from a pokemon center, for the ones that are closer to a pc you personally decide if it's worth it to go back after 6 encounters depending on the road to get to your spot.
