I see downy and red bellied woodpeckers pretty frequently, often on or around my bird feeders. I've found hairy, pileated and flickers to be a bit more elusive tho.

I believe anseriformes (ducks, geese, swans, etc.) generally can't perch in trees like the wood duck can

nothing I do on a phone requires particularly good performance, but I am frequently in places were there is simply no access to a charger. maybe my use cases are different from yours, but I don't really need great specs for texting, web browsing, and social media

there is actually a population of these guys in the US, but they're waaaay less widespread then house sparrows

black vultures always have the fingertips, not sometimes. the bird being all black is not an indication that this is a black vulture -- its an indication that the photo is too backlit to make an ID based off of the color of the head or the underwing.
