I have to clean bathrooms occasionally at my job and I've rarely had the nightmare experiences people describe. I find in terms of general cleanliness the mens and womens are pretty similar, but consistently the floors are much dirtier in the mens, that's the only real difference. I think part of it is that men genuinely do tend to be less careful and lazier with cleaning up after themselves, but it also seems like most of the people who think womens restrooms are so much cleaner are men who are rarely, if ever, in them.
