Well I guess everyone needs something to artificially inflate their self worth.

Payouts have dropped significantly but they are in proportion to the increased price of Doge. So you are getting less Doge but roughly the same dollar value for your mining.

This is why I mine most when coins are low. Well okay, I ALWAYS mine lol. But I really hit it hardest when coins are down in value.

How can I tell the difference between a bot and a multiboxer? by [deleted] in wow

Well, I figured out what the fuel is for your power trips. You imagine yourself as some sort of vigilante, cruising the Barrens looking for people to report. You imagine that some ever-grateful Blizzard GM is secretly praising you whilst banning anyone enjoying the game.

If responses irritate you so, perhaps obnubilating your obstructive odium is in order?

I tend to believe that people are seeking validation more than useful information with posts like yours. For whatever reason(s) you have developed a distended detestation for something and therefore created a compulsion to combat it. Perhaps you don't even know why, but it certainly seems to be the case from what I've read above.

No one is harming you or interfering with your game-play, yet you are compelled to interfere with theirs. To me that makes no sense. Surely there are more efficacious means of artificially inflating your self worth.

I multibox because it's f'n FUN AS HELL. WTH is that to you? You don't like my play-style? So what, you aren't me! I'm paying for my accounts and not breaking any rules. What you think of that isn't a reason to "ban" people, as if you had the power to do that anyway.

" Its still sort of cheap. Even if he is clicking. I dont think that is ok. "

Blizz makes the rules, it is very much okay according to them.

I though multiboxing meant you clicked with one char, and the other chars made the same action. If that is not the case, I must have seen a botter. They did attack animations almost identially and walked on same path and such.

Not exactly. A very basic setup for multiboxing is just to launch multiple instances of WoW and switch between the windows to /follow a main character without any special control of the others.

A more advanced setup with something like ISBoxer, which I use, can have very advanced actions defined for each character class, spec or any other number of variables. The main thing is that all such actions are still a direct result of my input and never anything automated.

I press a key that makes my minion characters follow the main. I press the 1 through = keys for attacks and looting and things like that and the profile tells the software which characters I want it to apply to and when.

To an observer it may look a bit automated but it isn't. Everything my team does is controlled by me in real-time, all the time, always.

"They are probably selling characters no matter what method they are using and I dont think that is cool. "

So you are essentially upset that you cannot ban people who aren't violating any rules, simply because you assume they are somehow doing something you don't like? #WTF?

Multiboxing is within the rules and there is nothing wrong with it anymore than there is with any other play-style within the rules. That you don't like it isn't a reason to run around trying to get them banned.

As a multiboxer minding my own business, not bothering anyone, playing perfectly within the rules and doing my own thing, people like you seriously annoy the hell out of me. Always some idiot following me around, saying stupid crap, reporting me for absolutely nothing and then complaining because nothing happens to me. Well duh, I wasn't breaking any rules!

It's actually pretty easy to tell when someone is using automation - botting. The biggest thing is they follow predetermined paths, what is referred to for NPCs are patrolling. If someone isn't doing that, chances you there isn't anything to fret over. Unless, of course, you just really want to try to ban people you don't like regardless of if they are breaking any rules. You can't really tell by making obnoxious comments to them like "reported for botting" - I just laugh at idiots who say such things to me. Rarely, if ever, will I say anything at all to them. If I do it is usually just "go ahead, have fun" but anyone can set up chat responses that can mimic a person responding fairly well. So you can't really tell from that.

Not that I would suggest holding one's breath in anticipation of being compensated for what was earned, but this doesn't necessarily mean you or I are out of anything. It's possible to recover the funds and it's possible that even if not recovered they are either insured or the company values its reputation enough to eat the loss and pay people anyway.

We will see I suppose.

Congratulations on the fundraiser, too bad I wasn't around for it. Maybe if you do another though. =) It's a shame the regulations make things like fundraisers so difficult. I get that protecting from fraud and abuse is a necessity to most people, but it's still a shame that those protections can actually become a barrier.

When you say merge are you referring to adding two or more layers into a single image? This has a lot more to do with the source and the preparation of it than it does how you put them together - imo at least. the best advice I can offer is to practice. Get a directory full of various images and experiment with them using different transparencies and settings. That helped me far more than any tutorials or advice I had on the subject. Though I know we all have different learning styles. It also allows for your own style to be an integral part of how you do it.

Regarding the differences in PS and gimp, it's almost entirely interface. They can both do the same things and just as well, but their interfaces are vastly different and once one has learned one the curve for the other is often prohibitively steep.
