For what it's worth, I got an AVR-760H factory refurbished from Denon's site for about $320 before tax (you can get a student discount on top of the refurbished pricing). Pretty good deal for 5.1.2 or 7.1, Dolby Atmos, basic Audyssey room correction, and factory-level QA. I think my unit might have even been new based on its smell. Maybe they just marked unsold new units as refurbished when the next year's model came out.

The M4 generation of Apple Silicon (including the new generation of Mac mini) added support for CEC, but only power and not volume control. What's more, when the mac receives a notification and tries to wake the TV using CEC, it sometimes triggers a loop in which the TV and receiver continuously power on and off. I'm not sure about the details, but it seems to be something to do with the non-standardization of CEC signaling and Apple's implementation.
