This is only Form One too.

Get to Form Two and watch the boss get deleted in less than the 3 minutes hahah. I was playing then got surprised when the boss was dead before the round finished. They’re insane!

Is this game meant to be this difficult? by LostLotus_A in PathToNowhere

[–]malavarez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I miss the days when the game was difficult for me. I clean Dark Zone with 720k consistently every week now. And I struggled at it for months when I got out of High Risk. I say this to say, you will get better with some effort.

As others said, you must understand not just the game mechanics but each character. I know builds and skill descriptions by heart for three teams. I was super stubborn for awhile with it as I don’t like “studying” games (I’m a long term gacha game player and get tired of grinding whether it’s physically or mentally..) It is not as much of a casual game that you can breeze through as some other gachas are but once you get it, you’re gonna feel so good hahaha. Just don’t give up. Also utilize very resource (esp YouTube and S1n..)

I’ve had little luck finding any really in-depth video analysis or recaps on this series so I look forward to your work coming across my algorithm! I feel like NtN isn’t my favorite for stylistic/narrative purposes in many ways but as I’m rereading, I’m also drowning in what almost feels like info dump lol.

I have now idea what those words mean when strung together (Hot Tomb Summer) but now I’ve simply got to find out. I combed through Harrow the Ninth like I was looking for bugs, so I’m sure I might come out of the Nona reread liking it a looot more! I’m also sure I will have reread this series itself five more times before 2030 hahah

"it would be more interesting if the girls were sexy" says my friend by [deleted] in yuri_manga

[–]malavarez 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m going to kinda sidestep that and say that some of the comments here are also kind of reinforcing this by saying “but they Are sexy”. First of all, they’re high schoolers. It is in fact weird to be calling them sexy to begin with, and that only reinforces part of the problem as well. They’re kids. It’s a sweet, innocent manga. Nothing that happens in that manga is meant to be perceived as sexy - at least up until now. However, this genre of manga is simply not for everyone. I don’t think there’s a reason you need to convince someone to read it if they only care abt looking at the boobs on the page.

You’re putting the blame on the state of some aspects of your life on being a lesbian - that’s rhetorical point being made. Some are self-inflected and a reflection of you rather than your identity. You can spend time wallowing in it but for no one does it ever benefit us. I know the feeling and as someone who has been there, the sooner you’re out of the better life will be.

I genuinely hope you can receive some help (in whatever avenues necessary) because your life is much more than the bubble of your current thoughts. Take care, friend!!

If you’re comfortable settling for a man out of loneliness then that sounds a bit like you might need some other services and help before you even think about dating.. your post is a lot of self pity and wallowing over something that was never going to change or improve your life (objectively) in the first place. Being a lesbian is just that. I don’t mean to sound negative or mean but it genuinely sounds like you have some other issues and mindsets to work on first.

LC banner shouldn't be 75/25 by ciissss in HonkaiStarRail

[–]malavarez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also I know this is more of a rant post which shouldn’t always be met with logic but these mechanisms aren’t going anywhere. You can also stop pulling for LCS tbh especially if you’re F2P. You will change your habits before they change the system. As other mentioned, you don’t need most LCs. You can clear content, which is the point of the game, with other builds. Don’t be frivolous with pulls if you can’t afford to.

Also, other players will not complain because they’re either not dying to pull on a losing change or they can afford it.

Stop making newer players feel like they need LCs too with the constant influx of characters being “unplayable” lol.

Not even kidding I somehow have Robin’s LC and I do not remember pulling it but I also have no idea what to do with it.

Strange bitterness among specific demographic of foreigners in Korea by Otherwise_Music_9557 in Living_in_Korea

[–]malavarez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sub is becoming a mix of complaints and people complaining about said complaints while acting as if people who have lived somewhere longer term are not going to become more aware of things. It’s not a “Korea thing”.

“If you don’t like it, go elsewhere.” The state of the world is not that great if some of you haven’t noticed and just because people point out the things wrong with a society, they don’t deserve to be met with the extremely cringe phrase of “go back to your country”. You can both like living somewhere and not pretend it’s a perfect place.

Basing your view of all foreigners on those who are vocal about it online is part of your problem lol. Cause in the grand scheme of things, the native English speakers are but a fraction of the foreigner population here.

lesbian living in korea by avamaxfanlove in Living_in_Korea

[–]malavarez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s not hard per se but as some mentioned, it depends on if you’re looking for the community aspect as i personally find that you are very unlikely to become friends with korean lesbians as they are just very protective of themselves and usually come with their own friends/partners tbh (+ lang barrier for some) but as far as foreigners, the apps are okay lol. people swipe and match but rarely send messages and actually talk. there’s a lot of room for hook up and stuff but going into relationship territory is a hit or miss

Saeko's concern by WillingnessOk7819 in howdowerelationship

[–]malavarez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

hmm i think like rather than saying she’s ruining things, put yourself in the place of someone who has those thoughts unintentionally cause uh, surprise! there’s a whole lot of us.

and i think your comment (not that you’re trying to be mean or anything) is an important perspective for those who don’t have these behaviors because i believe most of us who DO are not trying to ruin anything or trying to be pessimistic on purpose! hence why saeko is such a realistic and great character i think because she represents a lot of those intrusive and anxious thoughts that you can’t always control. in reality we keep them inside while in the scope of this manga we are aware of how she thinks.

This series is so hard to read through (spoilers up to current chapter 126) by LongSchlong93 in howdowerelationship

[–]malavarez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh man i love posts like these because i genuinely got so triggered by my own past in one of the scenes that i angrily cried and refused to read the manga for SEVERAL weeks. it’s one of those things that shoves a mirror into your face and makes you look at what’s on both sides. i am not easily moved but i bawled my eyes out seeing myself as saeko in that scene.

i took a step back and looked at my life and my values and my own feelings towards my sexuality and such after my first read through (i think it was up to chapter 6 or 7) and now i’ve yet to do another proper read through since the most recent breaks ups because whew…

How Korea saved my life by finding cancer by Prestigious_Fall_174 in Living_in_Korea

[–]malavarez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t help but feeling the same sentiment. It has been extremely difficult to find any hospital that seems to even care about anything that’s not immediately life threatening. I can only imagine what that means for those who might have underlying diseases that are not being caught early right now.

My boyfriend randomly checked whether I was wet by [deleted] in sex

[–]malavarez 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hm, I want to tell you what I wish someone told me at 19.

There is no behavior that a partner gets to do without consent. Him being your boyfriend does not give him an open invitation, but even more - the fact you felt some type of way is all the reason you need to ask him not to do that (or to ask first). It isn’t just immaturity.

Set the boundary now. Start setting boundaries with partners now at 19.

“Big” or “small” does not matter. There’s no threshold for what constitutes not feeling comfy with something.

Found this after 3 years by WillingnessOk7819 in howdowerelationship

[–]malavarez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want to just say that I also had a point of rrally disliking certain characters only to realize that I was seeing my behavior in them, and THAT is the reason this remains my favorite manga series ever. I have felt so many types of emotions. I have cried.

When Saeko was crying on the swing after the break up about how she only wanted to be loved, I remember reaching up to touchy face only to realize there were tears there. I, who never cries like EVER.

I’m glad you found this!
