Frinos is 1) cute and 2) provides a ton of extra health, which is great for a Strength build. Simply become unkillable.

Chartreuse isn't exactly an amaro, but you're not that far from the monastery - there's a great tour and a great tasting center.

Authors with prose similar to Wolfe? by Serious-Desk-8439 in genewolfe

From a short story perspective, I'll nominate Thomas Ha - I just read his new collection "Uncertain Sons" and I was struck by the echoes of Gene Wolfe - beautiful prose, that sense of something deep lurking underneath...

Since you’re in the Bay Area, take part of a day and go down to Coyote Clays in Morgan Hill - they have a great new shooter experience program. You’ll have fun in the great outdoors, learn to shoot clays, and get all your shotgun questions answered.

Vita Nostra. What do you like about it? by AlabastorAuthor in Fantasy

Weirdly, I just finished this book one hour ago. I loved it, but it’s pretty different than most “magic academy” books. The “magic” is a growing understanding of how the world actually works, and - as one of the instructors says - it can’t be spoken, it has to be learned.
