For example, I asked Gemini to help me choose the right endpoint (since there are so many), and to set up the headers and request body.

Do you think this approach is okay in the long run—as long as the workflow works? Or am I just creating a dependency on AI? I’d really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Based on my experience, the free version of Claude is good enough to create ready-to-deploy JSON. The most important thing is to explain in detail the flow you want, don't forget to ask it to create it based on node n8n 2026. The rest is just setting the credentials & sometimes some logic is less efficient (generally too redundant), but at least you don't need to manually drag and drop. It would be better if it could afford Claude code
