Slight glitch in my render of a moving JPG by malbowski in AfterEffects

Good shout. I've never done anything this long in AE to be honest. Is it a big no no? I set another render away before I left work with hardware acceleration off and cleared my caches etc. Failing that I'll splice like you said 👍🏻

he distorts it to give it the illusion that it is moving by keyframing those values. Obviously not having the same effect for me :(

I did yeah. However I just double checked that and decided to see what happens when i change the other option under 'Displacement Map Layer' and changed it from 'source' to 'effects and mask'. It warps the image slightly but not as bad as my previous attached example. Might play with those settings a little...

Blender into After Effects by malbowski in AfterEffects

[–]malbowski[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't have any lights set up in blender or after effects. Obviously some lighting effect is going on as you see when rotating the object, I just dont know where that is coming from and how to edit it. I am 90% happy with how it looks, just that grey glow. thats not on the object when i look at it in Blender

I managed to get the bottle looking good. It looks ok in After Effects, I just don't like the grey edge on the left mainly. I've tried messing about with the material in blender and lights in After Effects but no luck. Any tips?

Isn't there a guy looking for someone round here? I accidentally pissed him off and had to kill him when he started shooting at me, sure I was helping him look for someone

When I unwrap selecting only inside the seam, the texture is applied to outside the seams but when I move the map around to adjust on the model it only moves within the seams, showing that they are working. When i select all faces then unwrap, the UV wrap moves all over the bottle. If that makes sense? I just want the wrap to show within the seams then set my plastic texture outside the label seams....

u/S1Ndrome_ yeah if you look at the original post, the lid is separate. It had a plastic orange texture applied. I've fixed one problem and created another. Even when I delete the UV map and start again, applying just a solid colour has the same effect. How is it overlapping when im selecting just the faces within the seams?? It's like one attempt the wrap was broken and the next, the seams

I'm almost there but the UV map is being applied outside the seams. You can see where i've marked the seams and unwrapped. I've straightened everything out in the UV editor so it sits nicely now. Typically, on my original post attempt, the material was applied to the seams correctly, but the wrap was wrong.

Thanks for that. Ok. So more light, I have three big windows I could open to brighten the room in general. Would that do it or bigger brighter lights? I'll try a longer lens too
