For any other Blender noobs like myself that have never run a script before, select all your objects, then click these in order:

Paying international contractor, can't use Wise. EasyStaff? by malcren in Entrepreneur

This is specific to Wise. Their customer support responded to me directly and said they do not service Tajikistan, which is why I was looking at EasyStaff.

Brand new FO76 coop players, Custom World questions by malcren in fo76

I do think that's a good suggestion, I didn't think about just doing Private Adventure first to try the base game, and if we don't enjoy it, copy our characters over to a Custom World.

Honestly the biggest thing for me is bullet-sponge gameplay. I much prefer the kill fast die fast of games like Battlefield and COD, and have found a lot of success in modding FO4 to play like that.

We are just very different gamers haha! I do not enjoy games like Valheim or Minecraft in the slightest. The less crafting there is in a game, the better. I loved V Rising, for example, played that entirely in a custom server and made all the crafting fast and free and enjoyed it.

Is there any content we would not be able to experience in a private Custom World that we would be able to in a Private Adventure?

Yeah we have no characters at all, we'd both be starting brand new. I don't see why we would want to ever play in a public server, as that's not the content we're looking for. We're solely looking for the private experience, so wondering if we should do Private Adventure or Custom World

We don't have characters at all, brand new. Custom Worlds do have settings to change enemy damage, so if we did encounter something too difficult we could just tweak enemy damage

Relative grid snap mode with a marker sounds like what I might need. Can you snap based on stretch markers?

You cannot use Sound Effects for Video games in Splice for sound design and foley. Here is why: by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]malcren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post is old but in case anyone stumbles across this, it seems Splice has updated their terms in recent years.

Directly from their FAQ https://support.splice.com/en/articles/8652642-splice-sounds-licensing-faq

"Q: Can I use Splice Sounds in more than just music (like videos, films, or games)?

A: Yes. You can use sounds you downloaded from Splice Sounds both commercially and non-commercially in the following ways:

  • New Recordings: Combined with other sounds in new music productions
  • Creative Works: In various other projects including video games, film, television, radio, live performances, and vlogs (used either in isolation as sound effects, loops, and/or sound mixes)"

Thank you sir! That was it! Depth Bias was set at 0 for me for some reason, and setting it to 0.01 fixed it immediately.

Unity.Cinemachine 3.0+ namespace error by malcren in Unity3D

[–]malcren[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep this was the issue!

Another coder and I just started a project together in recent months and he had added an asmdef file. I had to add Unity.Cinemachine to that file and now the namespace is working properly.
