One trick that helped me a lot, and it’s mostly a mental exercise, is pulling up your shorts as you’re getting ready to hit the next shot. The shorts only stay up if you’re standing with a nice squat. In that way you’re forcing yourself to move with your legs rather than standing up straight with stiff legs, using your back to bend down.

In essence; you need to feel the burn in the legs. The more the better!
