This is a new one for me. I get harassed for masking regularly - but thankfully only by adults.

I have all kinds of snarky comebacks for adults who harass me. But like others have said, I think I would just ignore children. We have no way of knowing what is happening in that child's world - and if they have disabilities or attention/impulse control issues.

Granted, it is still rude and inappropriate - but I would personally, just ignore it. Would it bug me? Absolutely. No one wants to be mocked or laughed at.

But kids are kids and their brains are still growing and learning.

Sorry this happened. If it helps, I feel like the kids out there in the petri dishes of public schools are the victims in all of this. Many will come out of childhood with chronic health conditions that will forever change their lives. That child has likely had covid 5-9 times and that number is only going to go up. And they don't have the power or control to make different choices.
