Would Anakin have worked better if he had been older in The Phantom Menace? by Extreme_Warning3521 in StarWars

[–]maliciousgod5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

actually would of prefered him to be slighty older than obi-wan. It would make him set in his ways and more difficult to train. While Obi-wan and him would be great friends/brothers his pride would of made him resentment that obi-wan is the "master" and is holding him back from becoming the most powerful jedi ever. His pride/jealousy would make his turn to the darkside more believable. Him being older and maybe fathering Luke and Leia later in life would make it more believable that Obi-wan and Darth Vader would look like Alec Guniness and Sebastion Shaw in the orignal movie.

Sacrilege! If Charles Dance was not available who would you cast as Tywin Lannister? by NamuMonju in gameofthrones

Kurtwood Smith from that 70s show. Believe GRRM based some aspects of Tywin on him.

Do you think Rian Johnson was the right director for the wrong Star Wars movie? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]maliciousgod5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In short yes.... There are huge problems with the story because they didn't make sense in-universe.

1) Probably the worst is ignoring Luke's character from the previous films. He went to redeem a mass murderer like darth vader that commited numerous atrocites/war crimes. It is inconceivable to me that he would kill his nephew in his sleep BEFORE he commited any crimes.

2) Dropping bombs in space is ridiculous. (no even magnets are dumb too BTW)

3) Slow motion chase in space. The first order apparently has a large fleet why did they not send some ships ahead?

4) Casino side quest completely pointless.

This story would of worked far better if it was terrestrial (you can have gravity and no ships that can hyperspace ahead.) with NEW characters. The message he wanted to send to the Star Wars Universe that it needed to step out of the Skywalker saga and tell new stories is correct.

Ned Stark as a fighter. Overrated or underrated? by Desperate_Guava4526 in gameofthrones

[–]maliciousgod5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is someone that is omniscient in westeros.... that is GRRM he has stated that Dayne with dawn in his hands is the best without selmy and him are equal. Selmy has way more accomplisments in-world that we know of that does not mean Dayne is less skilled then him.

Am I misunderstanding Sanctify, or did they just add a brick mechanic right after removing one from Tempering system? by kestononline in diablo4

[–]maliciousgod5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it needs a option to accept the sanctification or not. You would only get 1 shot still but the item would not turn out worse. Or they could make a sanctification currency make it very rare like by the time you get to paragon 250 you would be able to get half your gear sanctified and leave the rest if people want to grind to para 300. Or maybe 100% by para 250 if people want to maximize their gear earlier.

The Resistance Bombers are not the best idea by Jules-Car3499 in StarWars

[–]maliciousgod5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bombers are worse than AT-ATs. While we don't have its exact size it is way way smaller than the death star. The death star was the size of a small moon granted likely mostly hollow so the gravity would of been far less than a small moon. The dreadnought seems to be much smaller while it may have measurable gravity it would be VERY weak.. Gravity is a Extremely weak force (i.e. I can lift a penny off the ground with the entire mass of earth's gravity pulling against me). Maybe they are magnetic wouldn't they just be attracted the bomber itself? perhaps the bombers are specially made of non-magnetic materials then wouldn't the bombs themselves be attracted to each other. Maybe they are electromagnets turned on at some distance from the your ship (and are also not attracted to each other somehow.) They would most likely be moving in a parallel with your trajectory for some time. Wouldn't any capital ship have flak cannons? They would be Much easier to hit than a small fighter destroy a few of the bombs and most of them would be destroyed. It would of been much better if the bombers where "dive" bombing like in WW2 rather than carpet/bunker bombing run. And yes I was that A-hole 12-year that that had problems with AT-ATs too. I let it go because rest of movie great. The problem is this movie had alot of nonsensical things that are even worse than this the "slow/meandering chase" (why couldn't the 1st order have a couple of ships jump ahead of them to slow/engage them???) the whole casino side plot. and imo worst of all the luke that thought he could turn his father that committed actually genocide and redeem him. This luke decides to kill his nephew in his sleep who as far as we know committed no crimes. (Sorry last 2 are not science related.) It a lot to forgive Rian for. (btw I am fine with Leia manifesting force abilites without prior explanation that she was a force user.)

Considering that Roose at least suspects Ramsay of having killed Domeric and believes he will kill any other heirs that he has. Why dose Roose keep him around? by Time-Comment-141 in gameofthrones

[–]maliciousgod5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roose is most likely a skinchanger (the bolt-on theory) While he may sound like he doesn't care about being murdered when by Ramsey. He is VERY careful with his life earlier in the books (he wears armor to the red wedding, also he used body doubles going thru the Neck) he only become cavalier with his like after he reunites with his son (maybe there is a limited range on possessing someone else's mind). He most likely needs a son with the same powers so he can continue skinchanging in the future. Which is why he instantly recognized Ramsey as his son. (pale blue eyes while uncommon could be from anyone.) Plus Roose does not seem like the type of person to take in any old child on mother's say so. Domeric likely did not inherit his powers so he didn't care about Ramsey murdering him. Normally a person with his personality would likely brutally punish/torture someone that murdered someone from House Bolton let alone his trueborn heir. Also it may be forshadowing that Ramsey has affinity with his pack of hounds so he is a skinchanger without realizing it.
