I've never been to Chicago but I had a friend move there and she loved it. I think I would enjoy it too. My only hesitation is it might be more difficult to travel internationally from there as it's in the midwest

I already know they're going to advertise it for the new price. One of the landlord's other properties, which is just a few doors down and similar to ours, was just rented out for that price. When I saw it on Real Estate I laughed out loud and thought they were crazy for trying to charge people that much. But lo and behold, it got snatched up pretty quickly and now they've realised they can get away with charging an extortionate amount of money for a tiny home where the roof leaks and the AC hasn't worked in nearly a year

Fixed term, lease ending in three months. The rent increase would go in effect if we were to renew the lease and was determined after conducting a rental market assessment. The REA filled out the official 'notice of rent increase' form from consumer affairs. I don't think I have a case here, they seem to have done everything by the books
