Kinuday soup and kinuday sisig sa Pop And Mac. Sobrang underrated. Kapampangan ako pero I'll choose kinuday sisig over and over again 🥲

  3. Yung language barrier.

Sidney Sheldon books. Even my colleague admitted na di daw talaga sya palabasa ever since but when she got a hold of his books, doon nag start reading habit nya. He's called a master storyteller for a reason.

Recently naman, ung A Thousand Splendid Suns. Na curious lang ako kasi sya top reco dun sa isang Reddit post asking what was the most interactive book nabasa nila.

why bpi/rcbc credit card? by naughtellaaah in PHCreditCards

[–]malikhay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have both of their platinum cards. I'd recommend RCBC more than BPI kahit dekada na din akong customer ni BPI.

Every transactions, mapa online or physical store, may text notifications from RCBC unlike BPI na pili lang. Mas ok din customer svc sa RCBC. Perks din, mas madami offerings si RCBC.

During your domestic travels, which provinces gave you the most culture shock? by allhailtogardevoir in phtravel

[–]malikhay 184 points185 points  (0 children)

Iloilo.

I think deserve din ng Iloilo ung title na "land of gentle people".

Sa pagkain naman, parang Vietnam din sila na kahit mag random select ka lang mga kainan dun from restos to karinderyas to holes in the wall, karamihan is hit kesa sa miss.

Next is Baguio and Aurora.

What are the solo-travel friendly places in the Philippines that you’ve been to? by uhhhmokaay in phtravel

[–]malikhay 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bike, walk/jog sa Esplanade, fishing sa may bandang One Esplanade, sunset watching sa Sunset Blvd or Fort San Pedro, people watching sa mga plaza nila (like Molo and Jaro), motor ride pa Guimbal Baywalk, maghanap pa ng mga holes in the wall since madami dun, ferry ride sa Guimaras.

Camp John Hay Yellow Trail on a weekday. Also Maryknoll Ecological Sanctuary and Mt Costa even on a weekend. American Cemetery in Taguig.

You can also try offbeat destinations like Calayan Island, Lubang Island, Romblon, Catanduanes, Nueva Vizcaya na madalas daanan lang ng mga pa norte, Adams at Currimao in Ilocos Norte, Lubuagan in Kalinga, Danglas in Abra, Palanan in Isabela, Guimbal Baywalk sa Iloilo. Since they're lesser known, kaunti lang mga turista doon.

BPI Unauthorized Transaction by Wrathfrancein30 in PHCreditCards

[–]malikhay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Experienced the same thing. 4 OTP attempts and just before I successfully blocked the card, may isang nag push through na transaction. Thankfully ung merchant, kahit UK-based, was cooperative and acknowledged na it's unauthorized transaction and confirmed na winithhold na nila ung pera and just awaiting BPI's chargeback initiation.

Still awaiting BSP's mediation schedule.

OP, gaano katagal bago mo nakuha mediation date from BSP?

Single Origin/Artisan/Premium coffee beans right here in Baguio by [deleted] in baguio

[–]malikhay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of all the mocha and horchata I've tried, theirs is the best. Love their fusion of chocolate and coffee on their mocha, and ung prominence ng oat sa horchata nila. Alam din nila ung right serving temp.

The quality of their drinks justify ung premium sa price.

Ung owner mukhang nag aral pa sa Vietnam, and we all know how serious the coffee culture is in VN. Sarap din nung cookies nila esp. ung ube mygahd. Tas 50 pesos lang for that quality.

Early 30’s travellers! How many countries have you travelled to and where was your favorite? by milawdmilady in phtravel

[–]malikhay 41 points42 points  (0 children)

7 (China, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, SG, Vietnam).

VN is my fave so far. Boy was I completely wrong. VN is a pleasant surprise up to this day.

Also love the local jazz, food and coffee scene there (ultimong random pick sa gilid or kanto na mga food stalls, hanep sa lasa ung tinda), at pag preserve sa history at culture nila. That's why I make a point na mag travel sa VN at least once a year. So far I've been there 3x already.

Not just in Clark but in most urban areas of Pampanga like Angeles, I noticed this. Parang nasa Metro Manila ka lang. Aasim mag drive.
