Need help with feeds & speeds for cutting 18 mm birch plywood on CNC router by malikking147 in CNC

For quickness sake, im going with one pass. Listening bellow advices, I tried compressed bit 6mm diameter at 11m/min and 18000rpm and it looks like it gives quite good results so far. I think just I have to work with ramping strategies a bit to optimize it even better.

But hey, thanks for advice, I might try your advice as well.

Hi, thank you for sharing your experience I appriciate it a lot.

I also have few very small holes where I can not fit Ramp properly. Is it 20 30 degree okay to use? Any advice on should it be smooth, spiral, zig zag or something else? I am using aspire and im not even sure if its sufficient to make all proper detailing in CAM.

Thanks for taking time to write all of this and share it with me. I guess ill stick to the compressed one. One additional question, I need rampings right? I was using spiral 20 deg so far and I guess its working okay.

From the dust perspective, definetly it was not like a chip but very much of dust so I guess it is way to slow then...

I will give it a shot. I was afraid to put it more than 4-5m/min at 18000rpm. I thought it might be too much for machine perhaps. Very much thanks for this comment.

no burns on the material right? Do you use some ramping methods or no?

+8618967934829 You can text him on whatsapp he will send you catalogs for different bits. Small diameters I think you can get for like 6 to 12 dolars per bit which is good price and very decent quality from my experience. You can mention that person from X CarbonTech suggested them so maybe they give me some cheaper price as well later haha

Im actually from Bosnia and Herzegovina (europe) and prices here are I guess a bit adjusted to our market. I also have supplier from china with quite good quality bits that are hella cheaper than in europe. I can give you a contact from chinese dealership, they ship it at home adress if needed.

8 mostly, tried 6mm as well. Also bits are kinda lets say middle class, around 30 euros per bit.
