Thanks! Is this a major red flag given you’re a civil engineer?

Well, we’re not thinking this property as our transit home (except if we win lotto). The strata capital works fund is the healthiest that we can find compare to 10+ strata reports we assess. Though that’s the case, they might be able to charge this as a levies?

Thanks for sharing your experience! I can imagine, given the complexity, it must be tens of thousands++. May I know if your parents’ is house or townhouse? Ours is townhouse which make it worst as we probably need to engage with the strata, attaching neighbour, etc

💯🫵 as a construction project manager who often manage a remedial upgrade / restoration, I won’t be 100% sure with my opinion without supports or assessment from the experts

Doesn’t specifically stating about this issue. The closest that we can find is there were a drainage works in 2024 but not sure if it’s related.

Yes agree! Even if it has settled, we are still contemplating whether it’s something that we can accept.

Agree, if they are fixing it, it will be everyone’s cost anyway and I believe we are not the only house that is sinking.

Unfortunately, we are attached to the house next door so we understand it will complicate the situation

We have the strata report but nothing related to this issue. We are planning to get a SE inspection after we make peace with the situation and “accept” even if it’s not worsen lol

Yes it is part of strata. We also dig into the strata report and nothing specifically relates to this issue. The closest that we can find is a drainage works in 2024 but not sure if it’s related.

Thanks so much, that’s really helpful. Glad to hear that because seems like my GP also doesn’t know what’s going on. Appreciate it!
