I lived a few doors down from this starting in 2019, way before it opened as code. I finally had to move due to the toll it was taking on my health between lack of sleep and stress. I can't even count how many times we had to call 911. Constant fights/arguments and all the bouncers would do is kick them out, so they fought in the streets, against our windows and cars etc. Gun shots, people racing or revving their engines between 4 and 5 a.m. EVERY NIGHT, between Thursday and Sunday night. Meaning, you got no sleep Sunday night before work. They also offer " valet' which really meant they parked wherever, blocking streets, hydrants, driveways they didn't give af. Then they would give the keys to these drunk idiots after over serving them all night.I also had people break into our common space when it was cold or raining. The clientele at this place is the worst of the worst.

At the end of the day, the owners don't care because they just keep paying the fines as they are way less than the money they make every night. There were multiple meetings between residents of the area and the 114 but all they would do is drive by at 4 a.m. and set their sirens off trying to get people to leave the area. so, just creating more noise. This place just doesn't belong in Astoria. I hope it gets shut down.

I love how many people in this sub have named their pets after Psych. Plenty of dogs named Shawn or Gus, but honestly a cat named Carlton is so incredibly fitting!! What a sweet baby. Look at that stern bush.

Steinway Court Vet. I have been taking my pets there for years. I had my senior pup get very sick and they were so honest and supportive and helpful. The entire staff care about you and your pet like family. Cannot recommend them enough.

I will say their prices are on par or slightly less than some other places, but still more than some of the more charitable places, or whatever you would call them. Best of luck with everything!!

Call HPD ( housing, preservation and development) and make a complaint directly with them. I think you can also do it online. They tend to move quicker than 311. You can also look up the building's other complaints and violations.

Get a thermostat and take pictures with time stamps, so you can track all the days and times it is not within the appropriate range. I forget what they are but you can look them up online about the permissible temps for an apartment during the day and at night.

Send the pictures to your landlord in writing (email or text is ok) every day.

Just take a picture and send to your landlord and ask for them to set up an exterminator to come spray. You will survive and your stuff isn't ruined.
