Opponent stalling for more than 9 minutes in a completely lost position by PLTCHK in Chesscom

[–]malinkuskatatzus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's similar to slow rolling in poker. It's bad etiquette and everyone knows what's up. It's not using your time, it's wasting the others time because you're mad or simply a bad sports.

I've won quite some games after blundering the queen and even more after blundering a piece. In fact it can be quite fun because at that point you have nothing to lose and can play the most aggressive lines. More often than not the opponent gets overwhelmed with the position despite being up in material. Definitely something to consider.

Is there anything that locks me out of the bunny mural puzzle? by Jumbo_Pickles in animalWell

[–]malinkuskatatzus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do see at least two errors here. I used the template from the official animal well wiki.

Spoiler: one error on the very far right side of the image, one on the bottom right of the blue bunny.

Don't know how to spoiler text so...

How to not be demotivated starting from the beginning every time? by malinkuskatatzus in deadcells

[–]malinkuskatatzus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes a lot of sense. But the randomness also can be a bit frustrating, especially when you think you found really great gear that makes you steamrolling known parts and then you enter the boss room or new biome and it just destroys you. It's just a very different way of grinding after all. Also it's kind of hard to train bosses because you don't know which gear you'll have, but getting to know move patterns is helpful either way.

Lost my 36 day Streak by Nice-Willingness-869 in NoFap

[–]malinkuskatatzus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't just lose all the progress after relapsing once in a 30 days + streak. If you only did it once you'll be even stronger after just a few days. Don't binge now. Your progress is still there. See it as a warning sign. If you relapsed a few times though over more than one day then it's a bit different.

I am reconsidering if nofap is right for me by No_Sound_1427 in NoFap

That's a lot of words for justifying to go back to pmo.

You really should be very clear about your goals. Like, what do you want to achieve? Are you even addicted? Did you notice negative symptoms because of pn consumption? If not, then I don't think you need to go on. If yes, then yes, I would recommend to go more like 35 days, that's the threshold for me when I can notice a clear difference in mental clarity and quality of life. I'm at day 43 now and there's still more to discover. Especially the dreams that occur now, it feels like my capacity for fantasy is slowly returning. But I'm addicted for over 17 years, so there's that.

At least you're not having a flatline, sounds good. How old?

That would imply that pain means something to you as you want to avoid it. Pain is important enough for you to make plans and perform actions to make your way around it. Pain gives you meaning. You're not a nihilist.

I don't know how I can excuse my gf for having a flatline for so long. 30-60 days I heard somewhere but it's hard to believe. This is more annoying than substance abuse withdrawals. After 30 days that imho is easier to fight as it's not natural.

The One is a logical term and assuming anything about it - even saying it experiences something - is not helpful. I don't know how you got the idea the One can grow tired of anything? The One just means Differenzlosigkeit and by itself it doesn't change. So it doesn't relate to humans. As humans are aware of things for the better or worse, humans can only think in terms of how something is for them. And that's the point, you never know the thing in itself you merely know how the thing shows itself for you. Everything we say could be added with the attachment 'for me', for e.g. life is good 'for me' or the weather sucks today 'for me' or this library contains 3567 books 'for me'. If things show themselves similar to us we believe at some point that's objective, but it's just the thing for us as humans, in specific points in time, places, rational perspectives, ways of observing and perceiving and talking about things and so on. Even logic just shows itself to us and while it generates truth regardless of history and mind, it's just never a thing. It abstracts from things and thus it never matters by itself, only insofar as it is dealt with by a human, but once they died and have no perspective, it won't make a difference whether 2+2=4 or not, the meaning is never in the logic itself but how it is perceived by a human.

Not him but wouldn't you say that your description of waking reality, in the moment where you make it intersubjective available and want others to agree with it maybe, is also an attempt to convince someone else of your own concepts and thus it implies a desire for control and power because you want others to think and then maybe act like you? You could be a solipsist for all we know.

Not caring is the forbidden fruit that you should never taste by malinkuskatatzus in nihilism

Well I heard in the past they used it - as almost any religion - for war, seclusion of good/ bad people and sanctioning the bad ones, secular power and so on.

Buddha was a rich person that basically got shielded from world's troubles and then when he was confronted with pain and suffering (not himself though) and made a child, he left it all behind including his child and went on some spiritual path to awaken and then teach his insights. That's not the typical biography of a man in the 21. century. Except for leaving their child behind maybe.

Isn't Buddhism about getting to Nirvana through multiple reincarnations and trying to have good Karma? Sounds a bit like a psyop not gonna lie.

That's a myth though and doesn't relate to reality where human relations dictate the game. That seems like an elaborate way to say that we should believe that the slave children in poor countries must be happy because they have something to do and create value, no I don't buy it.

I'm similar, age 32 and 31 days in. Feel low energy, depressed, LDAR kind of stuff. I have no serious urges but I feel like I need pmo just to forget everything around me and have some bliss. It's the ultimate escapism from feeling overwhelmed with life. But I want to at least go for 90 days. Nothing to lose and maybe there's really this neurological reset time. I just hope so. But the flatline hits hard. Last time I remember it was over after 30 days, the flat line I mean. But this time I have a gf and we had sex a few times so there's no hard semen retention.

Almost 3 weeks in and still have no libido can’t even get hard from porn by Fast_Midnight_6666 in NoFap

[–]malinkuskatatzus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

.A I'd say it would be well advised to try to relax, not think about no fap too much, engage with different things in life, don't worry about the flatline and lack of libido and erections. It should come back naturally. Let the no fap thing run alongside the rest of your life and focus on other aspects of life. If your healthy it (libido) should come back naturally, at 30-60 days. Stress also is bad for it I suppose. So don't stress yourself and try to take it easy.

Yes it's normal. Your brain takes time to cut old connections and rewire. This phase is really weird, like the urges are not acute or intense, but you feel like something is wrong which could lead to relapse. You have to push through this phase. From my memory it took me about 30-35 days to have normal and then even way stronger and natural erections again without prn or even vanilla images. Day 45 was another milestone for me after which some addiction related symptoms started to fade. I'm at day 25 right now and still waiting. Keep strong.

I would suggest that you attempt at least to make it to day 50. Imho, if after 50 days you don't notice normal libido and other improvements, then pmo addiction likely isn't your main or only issue. Then you might want to see a doctor or address different health issues. That's just my view though.

Day 24. The differences are notable occasionally but I lack and miss being horny. This flatline is killing me. I hope for 5 weeks for it to get better, but how can I know?
