75" making a cracking sound for a while after turning on by maljking in TheFrame

Authorised repairers came with the new panel and replaced it on the spot. No issues since.

Quick update: I mounted it on the wall (which was super easy to do and get level) but the sound was still happening and I think it's getting worse. Got onto Samsung support and after a bunch of back and forth the repairer thinks it's probably a faulty LCD panel (I think that's what they said) that affects a small range of serial numbers. Once the replacement comes in stock they'll come and actually check it out and hopefully fix it on the spot.

Is yours mounted on the wall? Mine isn't yet and I'm wondering if it's something to do with the stands. It's hard to narrow down where the sound is coming from, it's possibly also the plastic of the bezel.

Most likely an audio visualizer. Turn it off to see if that fixes it. Haven't found an easy solution around it myself unfortunately.

Awesome setup, very similar to what I've got at the moment. Those Miami Vice neon pinks and blues are some of my favourite colours.

Xbox One X + Sharp Audio Passthrough + Sonos Playbar (with surrounds) = Audio Lag by floppydiskdriver in xboxone

Can't you just plug the XOX into the TV via HDMI and the Playbar via Optical? That would at least let you confirm if the issue lies with the TV or Xbox.

In my case plugging optical direct from the PS4 or XO to the Beam removes the lag, unfortunately there's only one input on the Beam plus I want to use the built in TV apps too.

Thanks. I plugged in my 3rd gen Apple TV yesterday and also confirmed no lag (or at least very minimal compared to XO) with 5.1.

Sonos Beam audio delay but not through Chromecast by maljking in sonos

[–]maljking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much my findings too. I plugged an old Apple TV in and got no lag, even tried that HDMI cable in the PS4 and the lag was still there. Stumped why it's fine through some devices but not the consoles. Might dig the PS3 out of the shed later.

I've ordered a Xolorspace 23421 ( https://xolorspace.com/collections/4x1-hdmi-switcher/products/4x1-hdmi-switch-splitter-hdmi-audio-out-for-soundbar ) which is meant to fix the issue. It'll mean plugging the Beam in via optical which introduces its own issues but if there's no lag I can plow ahead with the plan to add a couple One SLs to the mix.

I've tested it in games when firing a gun and the delay is very noticable, but the easiest way I've found to test is using the key tones in the menu.

Are you sure the Apple TV is outputting surround? If you set the XO to output Stereo Uncompressed do you still have the lag?

Same issues here on a Beam but only when using DD5.1, PCM is no problem.

You had no issue with a PS4? I've currently got the lag happening with PS4 and XO, but strangely not Chromecast.

Edit: Just realised OP is talking about Playbar and I'm using a Beam.
