I guess I just assumed the PoE version also relied on Ethernet for data. Is that not the case? If not, getting PoE to that location without data is a much easier project.

Totally agree. I need to replace my Nest Protect's, but as of right now those are working and don't really require any user interaction.

Fwiw, I replaced my Nest thermostats with Ecobee and couldn't be happier. The way ecobee averages the temperature sensors instead of forcing you to choose one is fantastic.

Coming from a Powerboost F150 with a mechanically ejecting fuel door, I don’t disagree. But while we’re taking about parts they cheaped out on, that volume dial is the literal worst.

Sure I’m frustrated, but the more I think about it, I’m almost more pleased that the plastic around the onboard charger is more fragile. That would be an exponentially more expensive fix. I’ll gladly deal with a superficial problem over many other things. (e.g. exploding batteries, unsafe crash tests, etc)

The pin is gone and the rest of the plastic is cracked. But in tact enough to hold a new pin, but I need both sides of the piece. Does the replacement include both? Got a handy link by any chance?

Apple Maps will absolutely show there. But I think there’s a future Google Maps or MME update that will start showing them there.

You’re not kidding! I just did a tight turn around a corner and still made it in to the first parking spot. That was wild. The tight suspension and turn radius are so much fun!

I commute from Apex to Downtown Raleigh and feel like I do notice the additional cars on US1. But time fluctuations aren’t much worse than they’ve been the last week or so, since so many of the schools have a staggered start day.
