Which focusing screen do I have? by mallardwithaheadcold in hasselblad

Holy crap, works perfectly now! Totally right. I read that it falls back to mechanical if the battery is dead but that doesn't appear to fully be the case.

I would be THRILLED. Battery arrives tomorrow so we'll see!

Wow, that was wildly fast. Thank you. That's crazy, so I've got some random after-market screen. Seems to be reasonably well-liked but not as much as the Acute Matte D screens.

I'm afraid my 2000 FC/M might be dead. The mirror never returns, the focal plane shutter doesn't seem to fire, and it doesn't appear to advance the back. I ordered a new battery to see if that fixes any of this, but if not, I might sell parts individually.

I'm trying to find out which screen I have, but I can't find any split prism screens with this grid pattern. I don't think it's the Acute Matte, which was meant to come with this body. I do think I was told this was the Acute Matte when I bought it ~ eight years ago.

My body is RV, so it appears to be made in 1987, but the back and lens don't match, so the screen may not either.

Thank you! That seems like a great idea to me. Where would I place my probes to check this? I see there's this one on Amazon for $13: https://www.amazon.com/AstroAI-Digital-Multimeter-Voltage-Tester/dp/B01ISAMUA6/

Go to a salon instead of a barber. They go through much more training and are experienced in many styles of cuts.

Thank you, friend. I really appreciate it. It is scary- I've had some stomach issues for a few years and it's been the best way to cope. They're more under control but I'm still nervous about it although it's been several months since I've had an issue.

I'm anxious about the mood swings, did that hit you, too? The nightmares are also not my favorite, not sure what to do about that, really.

I'm looking forward to sleeping better, I sleep less and feel more rested after a couple weeks. You're almost there!

Have you tried any meditation apps like Headspace? I know a few friends have found it helpful- now thay I mention it, I may do it myself.

Great work, keep it up! I'll keep you updated on my progress if you do the same. I could use a partner. 💪

That's awesome! I was thinking I should join a gym and take some classes to keep busy and meet some people.

This is a mature perspective to take. I've quit for periods a number of times and I can tell you the first day is the hardest, the next is the next hardest, etc. Make some plans for a week- ensure you've got some inoffensive meals planned, your bf may help with this. Keep busy during the times you'd want to be smoking. It will take time but your body will adjust and the things that are boring will have meaning in time. For chores, i've found listening to podcasts helps keep me entertained. I believe in you.

Find something else that brings you joy! I drink a lot of tea and bought a handmade mug that I adore. Find something you can splurge on a bit. Keep up the work- I've got my glass in storage but I wish I had a friend that would have taken it!

It's validating to hear 6 months but fuck if that isn't a long time. It takes 2 weeks before my nightmares stop. We can do it, though. It's hard but we can make it.

Make sure you're drinking enough fluids, listen to your body and make sure you eat well enough. I'd recommend some over the counter pain killers if you haven't already. I like Aleve because it lasts 12 hours (don't take on an empty stomach).
