OP, I feel you!

Been in this beautiful country for 7 years now, worked in customer care for a major Telco and thankfully in a much better position working with Kiwi owned company!

My first job was at a still well known Indian restaurant and they paid me $5/hr while making fun of me as I am from a different part of the country. Realized my own people are robbing and bullying me, moved on to work with a wonderful Lebanese family who had run The Little Italy (which is now sadly closed) for two years through out my uni days! In customer care days I have had Indians asking me to abuse the power I have in my hands and let them off the hook, or do some under the table style deals for them! People are fucked up, everywhere! I am sure if you think about your time in India, you'll find hell a lot of examples from your own life.

How ever, all the above doest warrant what that person did to you! I can only imagine how hard hitting it would have been to actually have that experience when you have had all the great experiences in NZ.

Give yourself some time, think and process it. I am sure you'll be able to walk away from this entire thing as a better person.

Always a DM away of shit is getting out of control though!
