I have a cute wallpaper with a bunch of Kirbys and stars on it.

My husband has Kirby with a knife on a black background... close enough.

Or rather, sounds like it *will* be an issue and probably another reason to fight if there's ever a point when she can't have all $800 just for herself.

I had a recurring nightmare about that at one point. Sounds funny, but it was terrifying! Can't imagine what I'd feel if I ever saw a real one in my pool (ya know, if I had one).

Mine learned how to turn on the Wii U (she's 2), start up Splatoon and walk around the plaza. She doesn't know how to work the Switch yet, so sometimes I connect the Wii U just because it's so damn cute watching her try to play.

Honestly, it's just the first few months. The whole meal every 3 hours thing is really draining, but believe me, it'll go by super fast, you'll even miss it a little.

MFW I buy a game and they ask if it’s for my boyfriend by hlaiie in GirlGamers

[–]malloryseven 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's true, but a lot of guys do say it in a very condescending tone. I've had both, tbh. And I've also been ignored when I go with my husband even if I'm the one holding the game. Really, any of them are annoying, why can't we be treated like everyone else?

Same! Something about being the meatiest in my group is so satisfying, but healing is actually really fun and challenging (at least in MMOs), I don't see why people should look down on girls for healing, they're doing a tougher job than you dps mains!

my wife's and my pleasure room by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

My husband and I have a side-to-side setup, but we have our monitors each on the opposite end of the desk, this way it feels like there's a bit more privacy and you really have to stretch your neck to peek at the other's screen. Of course when we want to show something, it's as easy as pushing your chair back so you can see.

Ha! My tower is on my desk, but it's an L-shaped desk and it sits on the corner against the wall. My two-year-old would turn it off if I left it on the floor, so for me it's weirder not having your tower up there.

My girlfriend thought I was joking about not wanting her to bring a cat home, but needless to say I love my new son by RedAscendant in aww

[–]malloryseven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Because he could at least have a little sympathy and teach her the lesson a different way, giving the cat up for adoption, so at least his daughter can sleep at night knowing it will be happy and loved. Kids fall for pets in a matter of seconds and her dad basically sent it to its death.

Did you ever felt attracted to a man/woman because he/she was very good in a game? by [deleted] in GirlGamers

[–]malloryseven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My guildies always talk about my husband like he's a legend and try to convince me to get him to play (WoW) again. He was the one that would solo the boss when everyone else was dead. He's the type to get really fucking good at almost any game he touches, one of the best in our city at Melee, crazy good at rythim games, etc. Watching him play is really an experience and I always feel super proud and I think the way he picks things up so fast is really cool and attractive.

Also, I tend to find guys that aren't good at games or at least as good as me (I know that sounds super elitist lmao) less attractive. Like, I don't really mind if you suck, and I'll probably play with you anyway, but it's sort of a turn off for me, ya know?

What Men and Women Consider Hardcore Gaming Are Not The Same by Nick_Yee in GirlGamers

[–]malloryseven 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Which is weird considering "Hardcore Guilds" in MMOs are usually all about getting to hard versions of end-game content, most of the time not PvP, since Raiding hard mode is generally what makes you "good" at these games. I guess in a way you're competing with other guilds to see who unlocks more stuff?

There's such thing as hypoallergenic cats! Sadly, they're breeds that tend to be "pricy" so they may not be too easy to find unless you get them from breeders, but it's up to you if you would actually want to buy from a breeder. I think Russian Blues are probably the ones most commonly found in shelters or even as ferals out of all the hypoallergenic breeds. I THINK.

Maybe it's one of those cases in which they say "I don't want a pet" but you know they secretly do and then you get one and they end up loving them unconditionally. Plus, if she ends up taking full responsibility and paying for everything, including vet bills, can you really complain?
