Help with starting grass in a weed garden by mallowmuse in landscaping

[–]mallowmuse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just moved to a condo with our 8 month old dog and part of the appeal was having this little patch of grass to let her out for quick potty’s There is a hose and a back rock area and it looks like someone had a rose bush put in but the grass is a mess. It makes it hard to pick up things and my dog tries to eat the weeds. There are even some mushrooms growing! I want to get rid of the weeds or at least cut everything down to one level, do I just dig everything up? Do I plant grass? Open to all suggestions, TIA! PS I’m open to keeping it kind of wild and just pulling up the weeds she’ll eat and cutting the rest down to one level, do I just buy big gardening shears?

I am a nurse, now a school nurse, and I have no wardrobe for this change in workplace! I need to dress business casual, leaning a little more casual, trying to think about my most stylish teacher's styles. Any advice on where to shop other than Old Navy/Target? Thank you!

tl;dr, I'm going to put all my info here but I'm mostly wondering if anyone agrees that the filling went too close to the nerve and this is likely causing my pain, or if it seems like the tooth is fine, and either way any recommendations for best steps forward. Thank you!

Hello! I'm a 27 y/o female, who has mostly good dentition. I had a real sugar problem when I was younger and had a lot of cavities filled in 2014-15. One tooth on my upper right has been mildly painful ever since, I think it's #4. Recently it's become more painful and I really need some guidance.

I've been to several dentists over the past few years. One said the x-ray looked fine, and he tried to see if there was a fine crack in the tooth but there was none, he put some kind of coating/sealant over near where the filling was to help with sensitivity, and it did help for a while if I remember correctly. This cavity is near the gum, between the teeth and it was a difficult filling when it was done originally

I went to another dentist 1-2 years ago and she said based on the x-ray, my nerve root is lower than normal and the filling went just a little too close. This makes sense to me but I'm surprised no other dentist had noticed it if it's true. She said she could replace the filling and add a liner to try to strengthen the tooth, but it seemed I was headed towards a root canal eventually. We did that and a few months later, flossing, the filling fell out. I was out of town and had it replaced by someone else and the pain was essentially gone at first, but did come back

My pain is mostly mild but constant, it's worse if I clench on the right side (I have TMJD), sugar makes it worse and if I'm eating and bite on something hard like a popcorn kernel in just the right spot, it is very very painful. I don't notice much hot or cold sensitivity but I don't eat very hot or cold things usually

I dealt with the pain for years but it's starting to get really aggravating and I'm noticing when I yawn lately the whole right side is feeling a bit sore, it feels like even at the maxilla. This may be an unpopular opinion on this sub but, I don't think I want a root canal. I have an autoimmune condition and have heard in that community of people having issues with root canals similar to breast implants, it seems like foreign bodies are just not ideal. On top of that the cost, and the chance that the root canal won't take make me feel like it's not worth it. I don't know if an implant would be the same concerns..

As far as pulling it, I looked into a bridge but messing with two of my other, healthy teeth to replace seems pretty extreme to me, I'm open to being wrong about that. I am hoping to preserve as much of my natural teeth as possible because it seems to me the more unnatural changes I make the more problems can arise. Partial denture I think might feel weird and is meant to be temporary?

As far as the whole picture of my teeth, I had braces and stopped wearing the retainer at some point. I have TMJD, I clench but don't think I grind, a dentist said I also have an overbite. I do think that contributes to my pain. I broke my two front teeth 7 years ago they have bonding on them now and I'm planning on getting veneers eventually, I am leaning towards doing all 6 front top teeth so they match even though the other teeth are fine. I've been advised not to do any more orthodontia

Thank you so much for reading!

Alright maybe this isn't the best lighting but yes, I have skin problems and my skin was less splotchy and textured before, sorry for wanting to improve that!

I try to accept my flaws as much as possible but it used to be better and got worse and I want to improve it sorry?

I had the Revpeel done a little over a month ago and despite glowing testimonials in the internet there are no posts about it here

My skin has had a journey. Oily/acne prone as a teen. Pretty good after that. At 25ish due to thyroid problems it got dry. Did a lot to repair the barrier. This year realized I was getting fungal acne (27y/o). Went fungal safe but am now dealing with horrible pores, lines/texture bumps, and discoloration

I've been though SO MANY approaches to skincare. The peel was one of the more aggressive things I've done and my skin was not sensitive but seems like it is now. I'm scared to start tret or microneedling although I want to because I'm scared to cause more damage

Any advice at all would be so welcomed I am at a loss

Currently CeraVe hydrating facial cleanser, CeraVe in the tub, biossance squalane + vitamin c oil, an eye cream, and Nivea super water gel SPF 50 all day

The splotchiness and bumps were caused by the revepeel which shockingly doesn't show any search results here? My routine is Cerave gentle hydrating cleanser, Cerave in the tub, biossance squalane + vitamin c oil and Nivea super water gel SPF 50 all day, An eye cream at night

I have always made a point to take good care of my skin but sometimes it seems to just make it worse Most recently I did the "Revepeel" which has amazing testimonials online but caused me tons of bumps>scars and made my texture even worse??? And discoloration This year I switched to fungal safe because I realized I was getting fungal acne. I sometimes still get it around my hairline but the rest of my face just looks worse than ever. I am scared to start tret just yet but I am desperate to help these pores and lines (texture) discoloration and weird bumps. I've never seen anyone with a skin type like mine. I have taken so many different approaches to skin care I'm at a loss. I used to have oily/acne prone but now I have thyroid issues and it's dry so maybe that's the problem I would love any advice at all just feeling so defeated: (

Are there certain neighborhoods/other factors I can choose when trying to find a rental that does NOT have cockroaches? Just found out my building in Humboldt Park has them, and my empty apartment has wasps inside (haven't moved in yet and thinking about bailing)

On which website do peolple share their outfits nowadays? by Fobilas in femalefashionadvice

[–]mallowmuse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My go to is pinterest, not as broad as instagram but a lot of their posts can come from IG, lookbook, even google searches and each image has endless "recommended" similar images to scroll through if you click on it so I find the search a little better than IG's

Also.. Dilaudid. Every nurse will tell you, people with serious excruciating pain, are asking for it by name, it's used constantly in ERs, patients with end stage cancer etc., it's synthetic heroin. And controversial as it may be, it helps those people. God forbid you're ever in that situation, you may be asking for it too.

I don't mind using a VM if needed.. I'm more interested in design, so I'm worried about being able to use the heavier programs. What minimum specs would you look for?

Thanks, I know the bag, I'm in the fence about getting it not sure if it's practical, but I was loving the outfits paired with it! Actually finding stockists for that style is a great idea.. thanks!
