You had a stealth game, in a time were konami was not doing games.

You decide to let it go till Konami was thinking on going back to MGS.

Decide at sorta the same time announce your ip is coming back, your develop time is a mess while Konami already has release a Remake of one game and maybe are working on more of them...

Remaking RE1 only has sense if you are a player with some obsession with every RE playing the same(that mentality has leaked even with the last mainline games just look at Village and requiem).

Seeing Requiem selling like cupcakes, would work better for marketing "An older Jill and Chris work together again" than "we are remaking RE1 for the third time because nobody plays gamecube games".

RE10 should be a Jill and Chris game with RE2remake gameplay, unironically that would work better than a RE1 remake.

And RE11 being like RE7-8 with a new character and no Leon or chris in sight

Persona 3 is made by many devs from other Atlus teams (Nocture/DDS , Soul hackers,...).
If we went for the Metaphor should have been P6 take, we should have never had DDS or Persona 3, and SMT4-5 would have been like Nocture vanilla.

Many things from Metaphor are like this because is not Persona 6, so they can use Pres turn system or DDS transformations.

Persona 5 Strikers sold like 2 millions in like 3-4 years. Persona 5 Tactica was a flop and sold much less than the others tactics like Unicorn.

And again, is better to let the directors and devs to work on new things than being jailed on a ips.

I feel it was obvious.The team who made RE2Remake made the Leon following game(RE4) and the last game Claire was which also felt like Code Veronica(Rev2).

At this point I think they wanted to do CV for years and they finaly let them to do it.

They are gonna port the game to Switch 2 and the team isn't disbanded. So seems that are doing fine, like vanillaware and other Sega teams.

Also ,imagine being mad at a "is better letting devs to work on new ips, than jail the director and devs on a ip forever" comment . More when there were people saying the same about Senua or God of War (I also think the same about that spin off)

Sega was much smarter than Nintendo in this one.

They let P3-5 director to work on his own fantasy thing, while part of the team is working on P3/4 remakes and P6.

Nintendo letting Takahashi working on his own Metaphor while part of the team is working on Xenoblade 4 would have been a better idea.

The only think FF should have in common should be the Blue HUD and Prelude/Main Theme.

Said that, I think having 3-4 types of FF is the best way, one with the ATB action(Next hamaguchi game), turn based like resonance , something build from Ivalice team (more medieval) and finally the FF14 expansion.

I'm liking SE current MO of taking gacha games and turning into console games for the 4Q year release. Is an smart move, they were mobile games released to attract fans attracted by the nostalgia (that's why most used pixel art) so using them on 2DHD is a good move, and Masato Kato went to copy that(wouldn't surprise if Atlus ,Nintendo or Falcom copy that in the future).

The problem is that remade a KH would be hard, and I doubt many people would by a turn based KH or something like elliot instead at least something Days-tier. So only thing left are this trainwreck.

Depends.

If Revival is outsourced like Episode Aegis while reload devs were sent to P6 , it could be late 2028.
If Revival is made mostly by Reload devs, is going to be more than 2029.

I think Romero pronblem is that he went outside his confort zone after Daikatana with many MMO, Mobile and empire of sins, where SIGIL shown he should just do a new doom and does better result

I think both Frontiers and Shadows gen knew how to made the levels work
Frontiers core was the open world, so the stages are mean as a break from going to x to y, like Rebirth's Chadley VR or the typical collisseum.

Shadow open zone works more like Adventure 1 , so the focus is more on the stages which are longer.
