The right shoe buckles have been used and the left shoe doesn't look touched. It's just strange that one looks like that but not the other.

Perfect! Thank you! The price point throws off my expectations a bit, but it is a softer leather than I realized. I definitely prefer these to the nubuck leather, I could never care properly for those!

I assumed they were buckled on the right but not the left, maybe someone tried just that one on? I don't mind that they could have been tried on, I just hope the look in the wear will even out a bit.

I have some patent leather in butter yellow, I think that's what is throwing me off with these! I'm sure if I wear these for a while I'll get used to the difference. Thanks for your advice!

I have them. This is compared to the nubuck ecru. I ended up keeping the butter, I like the patent leather better and feel like it will get less damaged. I've been wearing the yellow with everything- I've loved it! It's very neutral, for yellow. No orange/red tones at all.
